for 1½ hour now i have been searching the web, and EVERY article i have read regarding streetview on iPod Touch/iPhone (unofficial as well as official) have claimed that it is strictly exclusive to iPhone. However, i use an ordinary iPod Touch 2G wich i have never modified in ANY WAY, the software remains exactly like it was when i bought it. Now to the point, i can use streetview just fine, as you would do on an iphone, without jailbreaking my iPod, and it works just fine, i tried 15 cities where i know streetview is available, and even found a new one. it beats me, but if any of you have a reasonable explanation for this, post on!
PS: A friend of mine at school also has an iPod Touch, and his streetview works fine, just like mine (and he hasnt jailbroken his either, obviously)
Um.. it works? Enjoy it I guess.
You and your friend really should jailbreak them.
Wait, how do you get street view on the iPhone anyway?

this.
Ah, apparently you have to drop a pin first, then an icon on the pin thing pops up.
Still don't see why it should be iPhone exclusive anyway.
I never thought Street View was iPhone exclusive, I've had it for ages on my Touch 1G. . .
It was iPhone exclusive up until 3.0
