We booked January 5th to go into the studio. On December 30th, we get an e-mail from Tom's manager saying that he has no interest in recording and that he wants to do his other, non-musical stuff and that he's out indefinitely. There's a flurry of e-mails going back and forth for clarification about the recording and the show and his manager sends [an e-mail] back saying, "Tom. Is. Out." Direct quote. This is the exact same e-mail we got back in 2004 when Tom went on indefinite hiatus before. Liked Blink 182 as a teenager, can barely stand the shit now. They had a good run, oh well.
Nothing lost. Couldn't stand them for the last years anyway, gotta give them respect for the pop punk wave they launched and rode but that's that The worst thing is that Tom will keep on making AaA music.
Ah well, they weren't the same anymore, anyways must come to an end instead of going till it annoys the shit out of everyone
Too late
You know things are bad when one or more of the individual band members have their own personal manager. No wonder they broke up with that level of formality and detachment.

Not so much the voice but the accentuation.

That isn't a singers vocals.. and their over-the-top changes to guitar effects, as well as accentuating notes.
I hope he takes his synth bullshit too. Neighborhoods was terrible.

Just how Tom worked for the last 10 years I guess. To be honest, I think the band will be better without him if they do continue with Blink like they say, and I think Matt Skiba will be a nice addition, even if only temporarily. Tom doesn't have the voice he had ten years ago and it doesn't suit the music at all.
Tom has yet again proved to be an antisocial introverted twat. Mark and Travis are the talent of Blink anyway
I feel bad for Mark and Travis. Neighborhoods was good imo but I guess it wasn't really blink. Maybe they'll start doing more +44 stuff after this concert? It's clear that they've got some level of passion in it.
The Sylvester Stallone of singers decided to actually quit this time, oh well at least the two that have some talent left in them can continue making music.
Tom wrote on Instagram, "Apparently those releases were 'sanctioned' from the band. Are we dysfunctional- yes. But, Christ....." How did you interpret that? Hoppus: The press release that came out today is 100 percent from Travis and me and we stand by it 100 percent because it's all true. There's no ambiguity.
Tom really must have had a stroke.
I actually really liked Neighborhoods, sad to see the band has come to this.
I was wondering why the title sounds so familiar, maybe Mark and Travis could go back to doing some +44 stuff.
Tom posted a long response to Mark and Travis's posts earlier today on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/officialtomdelonge/posts/868156439873363
stay together for the kids
Tom's voice got fucked by painkillers for a back issue and drugs for his breast cancer. He's probably one of the few people who I wouldn't mind regular autotuning because to lose your voice to that sucks. On the other hand, he comes across as a bit of an arse.
