I hope Retro Games is working on a new Banjo Kazooie game like what was rumored with Nintendo wanting to get the license.

That rumor was proven fake, the author of the guy who wrote that article said so
Although Rare did say that Banjo Kazooie was not impossible on the 3DS.
Donkey Kong 64 on VC please?
I don't trust Monster Games that much, considering Pilotwings Resort was only half-decent.
Monster Games made some pretty okay things, but i am someone who believes that Rare not developing DKC is blasphemy.

Well Retro has been hiring a crap load of people as of lately, so I bet they are working on something big at the moment.
Needs more Rare.

wait really? anyone have a source?
It's just a port, I'm not worried. They aren't changing much, they're just making it work.
Yeah guys, needs more Rare, because Rare do so many great things these days like... um... kinect... and uh...
i have no idea what you're talking about or what point you're trying to make

Goldeneye 64 for the 3DS...
Oh god, I would donate my body to science and let them suck all the blood out of me if i got the chance to play that.
We knew this when it was ANNOUNCED and there was NO RETRO LOGO.
Not news, seriously. Besides, if retro's big project was "a direct port of DKCR to 3ds", I don't think that would fit any descriptions they've made about what their new game is, given what we know about thier new game is "It's new" and "It's for WiiU"

DKCR blows all the original DKC games out of the water
DKCR blows all the original DKC games out of the water
I'm guessing that's debatable, hopefully this doesn't derail into an argument over it though.
i have no idea what you're talking about or what point you're trying to make
Rare's been reduced to making Kinect Sports titles. That's all they've done after Nuts & Bolts.
Also, you guys do realize that for the most part, Old Rare is dead? A lot of people left that company over the years. Nintendo buying Rare would not change anything, especially since the strategy Nintendo has behind these decisions is that they only look for "talented" game designers. It took Nintendo 4 years before they finally bought Retro and that was because they didn't want anyone at Retro to leave. Should the "talent" leave, then the company is of no use to Nintendo. Each and every designer had to be mentored on how to make a "Nintendo" game, because after what happened with the CD-I games, they didn't just want to give the brands to random people. This was how development on Metroid was, and this was how development on DKCR and Mario Kart 7 was.
Should they get Rare back from MS, then they'd have to spend time trying to mentor all of the new people working within the company, and like I said, a lot of the "talent" is gone.
They're not a huge studio, and are already working on a different game, so this isn't surprising.
I remember wasting SO much time on the GBA version of DKC. Eagerly awaiting this one.

Please be a new Metroid.

Well, they did say that it's a project that "Everyone wants them to do," so, fingers crossed.

what if you are wrong?

i didn't know they were behind the kinect sport titles, that totally blows. i really enjoyed nuts & bolts, but i guess you're right. it happens to the best of developers. regardless, DKC holds a sacred place in my heart, i will never be so quick to accept any newer titles.

This is the equivalent of saying "It is capable of physically existing on this dimensional plane"

If a new Metroid Prime/Prime successor is announced I will go out and buy 8 Wii Us.
Please be a new Metroid.
They said it wasn't. It's a nintendo franchise, but not Metroid. I doubt it's F-Zero either given that possibility was shot down when Miyamoto was like "Why would you want a new F-Zero?" implying they had no plans of making a new one.
The new Retro game is obviously a reboot of Greenhouse.
Greenhouse: Stanley's revenge.

Why must you crush my hopes
It's starfox.
Get hype.
Retro is repairing the damage of rare.
First DKC and now Starfox.
