So I finally installed the fan that came with the Orochi to it, and plugged it to the CPU Fan power pins on Mobo, but it keeps on giving the same CPU Fan Error on startup that it did without the fan :I
Any help?
Dust on the power pins on the motherboard? I don't know, I'm not tech savvy.
No dust :I
Plug the fan in elsewhere on the motherboard, see if it still functions, put the old fan in obviously on the CPU while doing this.
Wait, what? The fan works fine, system just gives a CPU Fan Error on startup :I
Is this what you have? http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/036/scorc1000_detail.html
The fan that comes with it is designed to run at 500rpm. Most motherboards give the error if the fan runs at anything less than 1500rpm. As long as the heatsink/fan combo is cooling your CPU properly (and I would assume that it is since it is designed to run at low rpms) then you can turn off the rpm monitor in your BIOS settings.
mkay, thanks :3:
cool
