Tim Kaine (D-Va.) was among six people arrested over the weekend during a chaotic rally for President Trump in Minnesota that was disrupted by counterprotesters who set off fireworks, lit a smoke bomb and sprayed a chemical irritant at the crowd. Linwood Michael Kaine, 24, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of second-degree riot, a felony, during the “March 4 Trump” rally at the State Capitol in St. Paul, the Pioneer Press reported Tuesday. He was released Tuesday morning without being charged with a crime, though police are still investigating the matter, according to the Pioneer Press. Tensions were already running high when someone threw a smoke bomb into the audience, striking a woman in the head, local media reported. Others set off fireworks in the building, sending people running and prompting security guards to intervene. At one point, someone reportedly sprayed what police called a “chemical irritant” into the crowd, causing people to cough and scatter out of the room. A police spokesman, Steve Linders, told the Pioneer Press that Kaine ran from the scene and was arrested down the street from the building, along with four others suspected to have lit the fireworks. Kaine resisted the arresting officer, who had to use “some force” to take him into custody, Linders said. “He turned around and squared up to fight with the officer,” Linders said. “The officer was able to place Mr. Kaine under arrest and take him to the Ramsey County jail for booking.”
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/03/08/sen-tim-kaines-son-among-several-arrested-after-protesters-disrupt-trump-rally-in-minnesota/
breaking; son overreacts to defend father's career high treason is the only possible known motive
Very suspicious behavior. I know when I'm in a crowd that gets a chemical irritant thrown at them, I stay right where I am.
Though it does say that he turned to fight the officer before getting. Doesn't make him look good to say the least.
He was arrested but not charged with anything. He's being further investigated for rioting.
It's a conspiracy, liberals are plotting to destroy the GREAT USA. Deport them all! /s

Not to mention the attempt to fight the arresting officer. Hell yeah, Linwood.
Very suspicious behavior. I know when I'm in a crowd that gets a chemical irritant thrown at them, I stay right where I am.
Very ideal behavior. I know when I'm being arrested, resisting is within my rights and I should "square up" to fight the officer. Posts like this really make with wish SH just had a "didn't read the article" rating. Could be a cute newspaper or something.

I'd be rioting in the streets too if my parents named me linwood

Also doesn't make him any less innocent of being the one who launched the fireworks in my eyes. A lot of people will resist arrest whether they did anything or not, since y'know, people aren't fond of going to jail and potentially being charged with crimes.

Are you for real?

Just an update to the story; The group was charged with various crimes including Tim Kaine's son. https://apnews.com/4d34f15e7db347b28a90699283227087?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=AP
I think the amusing part of all of this is that Tim Kaine was such a bland running mate that only six months after the election we're already forced to put reminders in the title as to who he was.
To be fair who the fuck had heard of Mike Pence outside of Indiana before last year
Webb and Chaffee were also out of fucking nowhere. Every Democratic Primary debate I had to remind myself who the other two people on stage were. ...Wait. Sanders, Clinton, Webb, Chaffee... Weren't there five?
To be fair who the fuck had heard of Mike Pence outside of Indiana before last year
Man I wish I had that luxury.
O'Malley.
that dude's wanted to be president so hard for so long it's not even funny anymore
this is literally the first time i've even heard of hillary having a running mate
O'Malley.
Shit, that's right. Wonder why he wasn't memorable. Probably because he didn't bellyache about screen time like Webb or bumblefuck answers to simple questions like Chaffee. Now that you mention him though, I remember him being sane enough, just... "Excruciatingly vanilla"?
