After seeing the new Starcraft 2 trailer, I decided to dig out my old copy of Starcraft. When I started it, the whole game was stretched because I have a wide screen monitor (1080p). Is there any way to make it fit my screen without stretching? How do I add black bars the side so that the game fits without stretching?
Starcraft runs in a really low resolution

Might try this http://www.neoseeker.com/news/11951-starcraft-goes-hi-res-with-resolution-expander/
Install a high resolution mod?

Mines a 404
It caused the colors to get messed up.
I still need help. :saddowns:
Your monitor should a setting in one of its menus for it not to stretch non-widescreen resolutions. I don't know where it would be as I don't know what kind of monitor you have.
Aspect Control? Mine has that, but it's grayed out, so I can't use it.
I use Chaos launcher. It can force Starcraft into windowed mode. It can also double the window size (not the same as resolution). Just be careful with the Chaos plug-ins because they could potentially get your CD-key banned if you play online.

The thing is, I don't want to run it in windowed mode.
Choose the appropriate scaling option in your graphics card's control panel.

Nvidia cards should have something similar, just look under display options.
I already tired that. It's not there.
What do you mean, it's not there? Which graphics card do you have?
An Nvida Gforce 250 GTS.
Are you checking in the right place?

Yeah, I'm not getting it.
Do you have the latest drivers?
Pros of CRT technology: No native resolution, so the pixels don't stretch. I still play Carmageddon 2 obsessively.
Try changing the settings on your HDTV instead of looking in the NVIDIA Control Panel.
I saw something called aspect control, but it was grayed out and I couldn't see what it's settings were.
