I was at WalMart and i saw a very cheap computer. I thought of many uses like servers for minecraft and such. it was like $400 and it has ok specs:
CPU: AMD AthlonII X2
RAM: 4Gigs
HDD: 750Gigs
ODD: Burner and reader don't know the speed.
Sound: most definitely built in
Video: Unkown
I think this is actually pretty good i might be able to host 2 game servers on one box.

its a pretty good prebuilt for the price but im not expecting the CPU to be anything amazing, i might overclock though.
So should i buy it?
Overclock a cpu through a prebuilts mobo? Never was able to when I use to get them.
Gpu is an integrated 6150 btw, same as they used 5 years ago.
I would say get it though, it's not that bad for the price.
Win7 - 100$
Athlon II - 50-60$?
4gb - 100$
750gb HDD - 60$
CD/DVD/READER - 30$ all together
Don't forget the speakers~
not bad seeing as it comes with windows
yea i was thinking i should get it if i can find the money but im not sure if i should save it for a gaming PC. Although i would love to turn it into a file sharing server for my family.
Quite a good deal for a basic computer, however i think you'd be better off with an Atom machine for a file server, unless you also wanted to run other servers.
