Lookin at spending around £40 to £80 on a laptop for my sister. I have no idea where I would look for a second hand laptop though, I'm thinking it will take about a year to filter through the bay for something that's worth buying. If you could suggest what I should be looking at for that price. I saw on aria forums a laptop that was sold for £40 and it was a 2.8 single core athlon with 1 gig ram and a 60 gb hdd. If any one sees any good deals while browsing then could you please link me'. :) Thanks
Buy an inspiron 6000 They dont fucking DIE
You'l never get a semi alright one for 80 dollars, unless it's mid-acient.
Buy an inspiron 6000 They dont fucking DIE
Currently using a 6400. It's like a damn tank. Makes the new Dells look even crappier.
£80 is probably around $115 and I was looking at second hand laptops. I thought that a single core laptop wouldn't be that expensive.
You won't get a lot for that... If you try you might be able to find an older ThinkPad T42 or something.
Look for an old ThinkPad. They don't die. My friends lasted 8 years and my 15 year old one still boots.
Ask your friends. I got a decent 1.6GHz laptop for $20, only problem is the battery is shot
Just incase you guys are wondering whatever happened, I browsed the web and found a 4 month old eeepc 1008HA for £100. I got it today, and it's just like new. Hah, I reckon that was a good deal.
Nice. I'm on the verge of buying a PowerBook G4 for my tablet project... for £70
Try looking at ads in your local paper, or use Ebay
Try looking at ads in your local paper, or use Ebay
Bad reading. He was using Ebay, 1 week ago. Now he has bought one, as you can see a few posts above you, 1 day ago he replied with the conclusion. Congrats OP! Sometimes you can find killer deals on Ebay.
