Hello, I've never built a custom computer and I'm not that knowledgeable with the all the parts I need. Anyways I'm looking for a $1000 to $1200 CDN build. I am moving away soon and I need my own computer, I do a bit of level design as well. I would like to play most new games without any lag and on "High" graphics. I have been looking at New Egg for a little while and I'd like to order my parts from that site. I also wanted to know if I can assemble everything by myself without any extensive set of tools. All help is appreciated and I need everything from a motherboard to a monitor. Thanks.
I am not a good hardware picker, but nope. You dont need a toolkit. All you need is a philips head screwdriver, a pocket knife, and medical shears (optional) for opening impossible plastic. Like on RAM. And a clean work area, preferably grounded.

So this build has everything I need and are all the parts compatible? Will it be able to run most of the new games smoothly? When I finally get all the parts someone is going to have to tell me where everything goes. Edit: I was looking at some of the reviews for the graphics card and a lot of people were saying it freezes quite frequently while not playing games. What is this problem due to?
Yes, it's all compatible. As for the card issues, I would chalk that up to bad card/driver issues; if you're concerned, you can always swap it out for another 6950.
Excellent, thanks. I'll see if I can put an order in soon.
I could walk you through the build when you get the parts, if you want.
