Downloading TF2 for mac right now :D [img_thumb]http://anyhub.net/file/screen-shot-2010-06-06-at-3.43.49-pm.png[/img_thumb] Is this new or has it been out?
-incorrect information redacted-
Its not out or at least that's what the steam page says
I'm going on MacBook to check. [editline]04:05PM[/editline] then again the Counter Strike Beta came out unannounced so I wouldn't be surprised if this did too. [editline]04:08PM[/editline] it's out but it won't install.
It's not out. It's been like that for a number of days. Good luck getting past 0%.
it wasn't there yesterday for me.
That's not me, that's somebody I'm talking to on MSN.
Oh. Is he Finnsih? Anyway, on what kind of specs does your mac have? The games could look a bit better.
The game isn't nearly uptimized for the Macs yet, so even if the hardware is somewhat decent (A.K.A the 4850), it would not run nearly as good as on an opposed Windows-based-pc..
TF2 is coming tomorrow for Mac.
Any ideas when it'll drop today? I'm itching to play again.
It's out.
Hexxeh, how do you have CSS and DoD:S on your list? Are you participating in a beta? I'm not exactly in the loop with Mac/steam gaming right now.

does the css beta actually work then?
Ok so mac users, to make your game run a bit quicker, it's a preset command that makes the game run a bit quicker, it's an old trick really. on pc its F-10 so on mac it might be function + F-10 try that... (User was banned for this post ("Troll" - Hexxeh))

It runs better than the CS: S Beta but it still runs like ass. I'll stick to playing on my PC.
It runs better than the CS: S Beta but it still runs like ass. I'll stick to playing on my PC.
it runs worse for me :saddowns: a lot worse.
So how are the games running on macs such as the mini with the 9400M ?
I have the MacBook Aluminum from 2008 with the 9400m, C2D 2.0ghz, and 4gb DDR3. games like Portal, HL2, HL2:EP1, HL2:EP2, Altitude, Killing Floor, and Counter Strike Source Beta run fine on medium/high settings at 1280x800. but TF2 runs like complete shit no matter what settings I use.
I have a 15" macbook pro. Tf2, HL2, Portal, etc. all run fullspeed for me, highest settings.
I have the iMac 27 - and TF2 runs smoothly..
