I'm sticking to real MTG, considering how there's one really close to where I live.
I bought this because I have no friends who want to play the actual card gane with me. :saddowns:

Oh goddamnit, I'm not even gonna try to fix that.
What sort of game is this? I don't really have much experience with the Magic: The Gathering card game.
From what I remember of trying the CCG a few years back, it's like a mix of Civilization and Pokemon, except not really like either. You have land cards for resources, and army cards for combat, and spell cards for instant effects.
I might get this when I have steady income. I liked playing the CCG the few times I did, but I never actually had my own deck.
I heard that this is more of a introductory game for people who are new to playing MTG. I've yet to play it though since it's still downloading for me.
Tried the demo, and I have to say handhelds are still the best for TCGs. I'm not a big fan of sitting still at my computer to play a game I could play in real life.
I just discovered that you also get a free complimentary real deck of cards and a unique promo card. You have to print out the voucher that's sent to you by email and hand it in a game store.

Do explain?

Right click on the game, and click 'manage account'.
Huh, there's a shop near my school that can do this. Think I might go there. Haven't played in a while, but hey, free stuff.
This game is a huge disappointment if you enjoy building your own decks.
I've never played the game but I might be interested in buying this, however, can somebody explain to me how deck creation is dumbed down?

You unlock cards by winning.
I love this game, but not because I play it (seriously if you already play mtg at all it's probably not worth getting; deck building is dumbed down, playing against AI is no fun because it's AI and playing over the internet isn't much better because it's over the internet; face to face with actual cards is 100x better just because you can actually see the other person). But, thanks to this game, my friends are now magic players, meaning I can finally play against someone other than my dad! Yay!

Main problem is each deck only has like 20 unlockable cards, meaning you have a severely limited card pool to use.
As someone new to MTG I am enjoying this game, but I can see why someone who has more experience would not buy it, seeing as deck creation is extremely limited.

This. I can't believe I can't build my own deck :( They should sell digital booster packs and single cards... For a bit less than the real cards.
