What a time to be alive.
Thats an old as fuck picture cause we're still in DPM.
We've done a community bag pack thing for the last 3 weekends and not once has anyone from my detachment being blown up, or shot, or beheaded on the internet.
I think this is just daily mail trying to scare people again.
As an Adult Instructor in the Cadets, I have heard nothing of this :v:
"There is currently no ban on wearing uniforms in public (for example, when travelling to and from cadet activities), but nobody should feel forced to do so. If they feel more comfortable doing so, cadets and adult volunteers may wish to conceal uniforms while in a public place, including when travelling to or from their homes and units."
Above, what we were told by our HQ Staff - Daily mail, scaremongering and twisting information as usual. GG
Ah yes because "a Facebook group" (one which has not even been named) is a very credible source of information relating to the Cadets.
Fuck off Daily Mail, you pile of shit.
Daily Mail is like old milk
Tastes like shit and is better thrown in the fucking bin.
scaremongering shitters.
In the aussie air force cadets they are forcing us to bring jackets to cover up our uniforms but noone does it anyway and they go spastic about the topic whenever they can now.
I was in Cadets, and I gotta say, I was in at a pretty shit time. We were just at the end of getting all our fun activities cut: Assault rifle training, grenade throwing, being called private. Now it seems it is picking up again. What I wouldn't give to have been told to be vigilant against terrorists during our bivwack exercises. Man oh man.

Also troop on the right sucks at marching.
Talk about scaremongering. We had an order in an e-mail from our Chief of Staff telling us to wear civilian jackets over our uniform when off base and in public alone. The same thing was done multiple times when the IRA was more active. It's been made very clear that there is no active threat and it's just a precaution; it puts parents' minds at ease. Especially for those of us who live in the almost-countryside miles away from anywhere of significance. Come on, why are we still posting the Daily Mail?
Standard scaremongering from the Daily Mail, both them and the Sun are great at getting people scared at nothing.
