I haven't seen anyone who joined in 04 here in a while. Any of you still around?
garry
There comes a time that most people outgrow this kind of community. Getting families, children, stable job, great group of friends.
Most kinda fall away from internet forums where hardly any of our relationships are meaningful or lasting.
(there are some)
But even this shall pass.
I didn't even know the forums were open back then, I thought only garry was '04. What did it look like back then?
The only one I can think of is RayvenQ. I think he still posts.

This is 2004 apparently.
Was facepunch forums at a different url before 2009? I most certainly haven't been around for that long.

It used to be facepunchstudios.com/forums
facepunchstudios.com was just a splash page with a big logo on it that lead you to the vbulletin forums.

Also makes me wonder if there are any of the original facewound development team on the forum. Aside from garry.
peabody624 is still active by the looks of things, looking through web archive it looks like there's a few users that date back to 2004 that are still active.

Tentacle is still kinda active.

This isn't FP, but it's quite interesting. Garry's old forum in 2002.
[editline]6th August 2013[/editline]
FP was hosted on garry's domain for a while, too. The forums were gray/brown.

A lot of the original members of facepunch were originally members of garry's old forum
I think gmod getting featured on g4tv's attack of the show is what really got facepunch on the map though

Yeah but that 2002 one isn't related to Facepunch. Gmod didn't exist, hl2 didn't exist. There were "garry's mod forums" which were made in December 2004. Garry switched to vbulletin and called the forums Facepunch Studios in April 2005, as it carried member info with it.

What did Garry even do back then. I'm pretty sure that was before facewound was even in development. What did people even talk about?

Wonder why Garry changed it to the current address?

Probably bought the domain from whoever had owned it first.
garry
that's a joke right?

Nope. Garry is behind 9/11.
This forum is actually a front for the mods who are all al qeada leaders.
OIFY is where they do their planning. It is all in code pretending to be regular posts.
