Rouhani also said he believed a deal could be struck with the international community on his country's nuclear drive within three to six months. The Iranian president spoke at a UN nuclear disarmament conference just before Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Mohammad Zarif was to hold talks with US Secretary of State John Kerry and ministers from Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia. The meeting was to discuss western allegations that Iran is seeking a nuclear bomb capability. It will also be one of the highest level Iran-US encounters since the 1979 Iranian Revolution. Rouhani said Iran's arch-foe Israel should join the Non-Proliferation Treaty, which aims to contain the spread of nuclear weapons. Israel has never declared a nuclear bomb but is widely suspected to have several.
"We'll declare them, alright. Declare them in your FACE!"
Israel ought to, but I don't think Iran calling them out on it will earn them many points with the US, unfortunately.
It's pretty obvious though, I also thought we declared them ages ago?
It's pretty obvious though, I also thought we declared them ages ago?
It's been an open secret for ages.
israel must declare that it is nuclear bombs?
Reading up on it, last president already accidentally said "Yep, we got nukes, guys!"
israel must declare that it is nuclear bombs?
it's = it is its = possessive
I believe the Israeli policy is to just nuke everyone into orbit, including the US and the EU if shit hits the fan. Its a pretty dangerous and self-righteous policy, read Samson Option.

It's just that, out of all of them, Israel is most likely to go through with it.
Grammar Nazi in a Israel thread, hilarious.
it's funny cuz it's a holocaust joke ~lol~ But there is literally no way Israel is going to do anything to step down their nuclear program. If anyone needs a nuclear deterrent nowadays, it's them.
It's pretty obvious though, I also thought we declared them ages ago?
It's basically like a general starting in front of your city without an army saying - open your gates I•tooooootally have nothing hiding in the forest [editline]26th September 2013[/editline]
I'm sure that's every nuclear nation's plan, somewhere in their military. The plan was to nuke brazil, definitely Beijing, Delhi and Mumbai at the very least in part to make sure that no there would be no significant power left in the world, so that they would potentially have an edge after the MAD scenario went over. For that, a bunch of their nuclear subs had orders to idle around for a year, then asses the situation and take out any larger cities or powers left. The soviets actually stood a better chance of making it trough MAD•than americans with some semblance of a power structure intact. [editline]26th September 2013[/editline] Partially because the US launch called for a tiered setoff, whereas the soviet one was conceived more as a one punch kind of deal. And the fact that the ruskies were more decentralised.
Israel doesn't want to declare its nuclear bombs because it gives it a big advantage when it comes to war intelligence. Think about this, when you know a country has nuclear bombs you're also very likely to know where they're stored, I think there's also a law that states that the need to say where they're storing their nuclear bombs. So Hidden nuclear bombs vs nuclear bombs stored in a known location. Israel has a very big advantage, but there's very very little chance of it declaring its nuclear arsenal. However, if Iran gets nuclear bombs, It will have a good effect on Israel's overall attitude, hopefully.
neither iran or israel are bound by those weapons treaties.... even if israel declared them today, people would riot like its news even though its not....
Jesus Christ Samson Option is some wacky shit you'd expect some paranoid villain to pull off
It seems to me like a terrible plan to coerce support from the west even after our governments have come to their senses on the reality of Israel in the middle east.
Israel SHOULD officially declare their nuclear arsenal and fall in line with the rest of the nuclear nations. It's an incredible double standard that Western countries are mum on the subject of an ideologically extreme Middle Eastern nation having a secret arsenal of nuclear weapons, but they openly discuss bombing Iran because they might, possibly, at some undetermined point, develop access to uranium that MIGHT be used in a bomb.

They are literally the only nation in their area of the world where you are free to speak your mind and practice whatever religion you want. In other nations in that region, you would get beheaded or tortured for that.

If you're in the territories, it's a different world altogether.

You need to be a citizen of Israel to speak your mind there? Show me proof of tourists being locked up there for speaking the 'wrong' things then. Seeing as you can't and won't produce proof of that, your post really comes off as you trying to be antisemitic in the 'moderate' and thiny-veiled manner a lot of white supremecists/holocaust deniers practice.

If I criticize Obama's stance on gun control am I an honorary KKK member?
It's pretty obvious though, I also thought we declared them ages ago?
nope because if you declare them your government will have to start following international law which it doesn't want to do.
