A 26-year-old man has confessed to killing at least 39 people in a three-year rampage that makes him one of the world's most prolific serial killers, police in Goiania, Brazil, say.
Police say Gomes da Rocha – who has given them details of each murder and referred to his victims by the numbers 1 to 39 – has told them he killed his victims to release the "fury" he felt "against everything."
Police said Rocha demanded valuables from his victims, whom he referred to by number, according to the BBC.
He looks like the kind of guy that weird greasy teenage girls on the internet fa[del]u[/del]wn over. Sorta like Adam Lanza and orange haired guy.

I don't see the resemblance.
it's a brazilian ted bundy
Is Brazil the country where you can kill thousands of people and only get 15 years? Or is that Argentina?
What a fucking cunt.

Faun over..? What the fuck?
The whole serial killer thing aside, he seems like a pretty decently shaped guy, smart haircut, etc., which many a girl may find attractive. Nothing like Adam Lanza or John "Joker" Holmes really?
he actually looks a bit like dexter
maybe he is dexter
Listen, what I say may be a bit stupid, but just, be patient and think for a second.
Whether or not he thought he'd lose if he got cornered or any other reason, is irrelevant, but he turned himself in. Think. Who else would do that? He made the polices lives easier by not being a common criminal cunt.
I know he killed 39 people. And that's unforgivable regardless of the stupid reasons he had.
Though this is the first time I've heard of a huge criminal turning himself in.

He's a fucking psycho. Probably wanted to get caught so he could brag and when that didn't happen he handed himself in. Article even says he talked about what he did in each murder in detail, numbering his victims and shit.
He probably did this for the credit.
He didn't willingly turn himself in. He confessed after the police linked him to unsolved murders.
Gomes da Rocha, who was initially arrested for a minor offense involving his motorbike’s license plate, didn’t say much on Thursday — but was apparently awfully chatty with police. After police say they linked a gun found in his apartment to the murder of six young and beautiful women over the last year, Gomes da Rocha allegedly confessed to killing 33 other people as well. They included, police said, transvestites, homeless people and a 14-year-old girl.
I really really don't think he did that for attention. look at this:
After police say they linked a gun found in his apartment to the murder of six young and beautiful women over the last year, Gomes da Rocha allegedly confessed to killing 33 other people as well.
Why would anyone want to lengthen their sentence by doing that? If hes a psycho, that literally makes even less sense. The police probably use that gun link to take him in and force him to confess the rest of the murders.
This right here pretty much convinces me that there is much more shit at work here than him wanting to 'brag'/'get credit'/randomly turn himself in
This wouldn’t be the first time Brazilian police cajoled a confession out of someone, a problem on which Human Rights Watch has reported at length, finding 64 cases since 2010 in which “security forces or prison authorities engaged in cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment against people in their custody.” In one such incident, “detainees testified that the police severely beat and strangled them in an effort to force them to confess to having drugs and illegal firearms.”
Four separate men told the Brazilian Bar Association in June of 2013 that police, searching for suspects in a rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl, had kidnapped them and took them to a police station. There, they said “they were beaten, suffocated and given electric shocks in an effort to induce them to confess.” The men did. And a week later, DNA evidence exonerated them.

El Dextér.
This one had a better ending.
If only this came out earlier maybe he could have released his fury on virtual victims.
