http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36272919#sa-ns_mchannel=rss&ns_source=PublicRSS20-sa
Filming crimes to post on social media? How about you punish them extra hard for being totally fucking retarded.
But filming their crimes is hard evidence?
But filming their crimes is hard evidence?
Yeah but you're actively doing nothing to stop it. You are literally just letting it happen.
Yeah but you're actively doing nothing to stop it. They cite a case where two girls murdered someone and posted photographs of it to Snapchat.
Now what are people going to upload to Worldstarhiphop?
I would say it's counterproductive to discourage people from sharing evidence of their own crimes, but the people who do that in the first place are probably too dumb to worry about punishment either way.
the crime that's cited happened in my town, feels weird, we're never in the news but on topic i agree with what axel said. if someone's dumb enough to record their own crime now, adding extra punishment probably wont dissuade them

Punishment as is clearly isn't effective enough, adding more won't fix it.

The point of imprisonment is not to punish, it is to protect society.
Maybe the idea is to make sure they are never released? The point of imprisonment is not to punish, it is to protect society.
Punishing them over filming their crimes kinda seems like a weird way to make sure they're never released, to be honest.
Tbh we should reward people who are stupid enough to filmbrag about crimes ~ with more punishment I mean if you're willing to post your murders on facebook its fucking obvious you are either too stupid to realize WHY that's a bad idea or you want to be punished
Now what are people going to upload to Worldstarhiphop?
Demo tapes?
Yeah but you're actively doing nothing to stop it. You are literally just letting it happen.
As Omali already said, read the article. However, I'd also like to address the fact - that you're not legally obliged to help anyone if they are having any crime enacted upon them and you cannot be held accountable (at least in the UK) for not doing anything either.

Last time I checked, stupidity in itself isn't even an actual crime. The punishment they get minus punishment for filming should be sufficient enough for you. While I don't support the proposals, at least the original reasons they had provided in the article for tougher sentences are somewhat better than just because "lol they're so stupid".
Yeah but you're actively doing nothing to stop it. You are literally just letting it happen.
Well that'd be vigilantism.
