• Rig check before I buy

Going to buy a new computer within a week, able to get this rig for within my budget. Can you check if anything is bottlenecking anything and tell me how well it will run games? Cheers. Mobo: ASUS P7P55-LX DDR3 CPU: Intel Core i5-650 3.20Ghz OR Intel Core i5-750 2.66Ghz (please advise, I can get both for the same price) GPU: 1GB ATI 5750 PCI-E RAM: 4GB DDR3 (generic I think) HDD: 500GB OS: Windows 7 Peripherals etc have already been sorted out. Will be on a Full HD monitor and I prefer running native resolution so will it run well on 1920x1200?
Is the 750 quad-core? because if it is, get it
Yeah 750 is quad core, and from what I've heard, it's better for gaming. [editline]04:18PM[/editline] Advice on the whole build?
750 is better all around
I'd rather get another ATi card than the 5750, from what I heard it's not that good (not that it isn't good enough).
what exactly is it that you heard? and from who? it's a fine upper-midrange card. not for DX11 or anything like that, but who's to say he's even expecting it to?
I think I'll stick with my lovely DX9 hahaha. Anyway this is a budget build, I'm not expecting it to play MW2 or Crysis on full settings but I at least want it to run most games and do be future proof for a while.
The Intel core i5-50 is a quad core where as the other core i5 is a dual core. I would go for the quad! Also quite the solid setup you got there!
Yeah, and it's all coming with a 23.6" Full HD Samsung monitor (really high quality), peripherals and Windows 7 installed and optimized for under $1400 AUD
Get a 5770. Not much more $ and is way better.
i5 750 get the 5770 512mb if you can't afford the 1 GB
