Alright.
I had Microsoft Security essentials installed on my SSD but for some reason i wanted it on my regular harddrive. So i uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it but i keep getting error code "0x80070643". Ive tried everything online except this one solution:

But i cant find the (All Users) folder in W7. I have windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. Ive been trying for about a week now to get this working and i think my computer is infected (it takes a shitton of time for each page to load. Do you think its my modem? It just started yesterday...)
If anyone has any info on this or can help me at ALL i will be grateful.
Sorry if this is the wrong section.
Thanks!
After reading your post,I think I'm perfectly sure that Windows is not retarded, but you are.
Hint: "All Users" is hidden.
Sell your computer aand buy a Nintendo Wii. You'll feel much better with that
I searched for all users but it wont come up. My OS is on my SSD but the user is on the HDD. I probably did that wrong.
My computer is just really slow to load webpages. It just started yesterday. Do you think its the modem? I even lagg when typing on FP or even facebook.
Its not the computer hardware btw. Its a quad core with 4gb of ram...
Thanks
Which version of Windows 7 are you using? Tried defragmenting?
Read B1N4RY!'s post very, very carefully. It'll come to you soon enough.

pro tip the antivirus needs to be on the OS, and the user is in the OS, the data files may be on the hard drive but they are linked to the OS install
Microsoft Security Essentials is shit. I can't download anything because of the amount of viruses it let in. Get Avast.

Or pay some money and get a decent Firewall/Anti-Malware program.

Are you implying that all paid programs are the best?

That's definitely not true. See: Norton, McAfee.
But MSE could definitely be better than what it is. I'd go with Avast or Comodo.
