When running iPhone apps on the iPad 2 in 2x mode (pixel doubling active), do they take up the entire screen, or are they sort of letterboxed in the middle, surrounded by black bars? I know I've seen both, the former being on a demo unit, the latter on my friend's iPad. Just wondering what the definitive pixel doubling format is.
Thanks!
iPad resolution is 1024 x 768
apps get doubled from 480x320 to 960x640
the apps take up exaclt 960x640 of the pixels on the 1024x768 screen
So... In other words, it is in ugly letterbox format. Oh well, I'll just buy iPad-native apps.
It's very ugly, I can take a picture when I get home.

The quality is poor, and it's not entirely full-screen.

Retina Apps look like shit, unless you get a Cydia tweak called "RetinaPad"

Oh fuck, I just noticed that you put spam in the quote. How clever.
