(CNN) -- A 14-year-old boy is being hailed as a hero in Pakistan for tackling a suicide bomber --
dying at the main gate of his school and saving schoolmates gathered for their morning assembly.
Ninth-grader Aitazaz Hassan Bangash was on his way to the Ibrahimzai School on Monday in the Hangu district of northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province
when the bomber, dressed in a school uniform, asked him where the school was, the teen's cousin told CNN.
Aitazaz and his cousin, Musadiq Ali Bangash, became suspicious, Musadiq said.
"The other students backed off, but Aitazaz challenged the bomber and tried to catch him.
During the scuffle, the bomber panicked and detonated his bomb," he said.
Rajab Ali, who also witnessed the bombing, told CNN that he saw Aitazaz throw a large stone at a boy trying to enter the school.
The blast happened when Aitazaz grabbed him, he said. Aitazaz and the bomber died at the scene.
Witnesses say the blast injured two other people.
look at that stubble for a 14 year old
You're looking into the face of a hero that the world sadly lost today.
[sp]But on the bright side at least he gets to enjoy 72 virgins.[/sp] v:v:v
it takes serious balls to do something knowing theres a big chance of dying, but doing it for the others.

Just because you praise the boy doesn't mean the next minute you can't be reprimanded for making fun of him. Get over yourself.

Boo hoo, I made one very small joke about a religion that I don't even know if he follows or not. Get off your high horse, I've seen way worse things said in this section with much less of a reaction than this. But I'm not going to argue about it, I'll leave on this note.
R.I.P. Aitazaz
it's a fucking joke.
Isn't a joke suppose to be funny?
Isn't a joke suppose to be funny?
they don't have to be funny to everyone
Everyone shut the fuck up, you're dickheads for making a big deal out of that, if you don't like it and you really give a shit about this boy who died, dumb LSK's post and move on. I personally don't think there was anything wrong with the post, but that's just me.
Now that's over, back to the thread topic at hand.
I wish I could be half as brave as him. What kind of jackass tries to bomb a school?
he is a true hero for all fez-kind

But that isn't a fez.
Wow, that's very respectable to stand up for his peers like that when nobody else would. It's a shame the bomb was still detonated and the kid was killed, though.
LSK you should join the tour de france and cycle backwards because you could probably win a world record for your back pedaling.

What happened to this thread?
Great news thread
What a hero.
the people who make attacks on schools, or forms of education, health care, or such are truly baffling
they should be the ones dying, not this guy. Bravo on him, and I hope other Pakistanis cheer his name, so they don't become like the one who blows people up, instead try to stop the ones who do.
Kid was brave, his parents should be proud.

Bolded in case you forgot what you posted. Harmless? Sure. Distasteful? Yea. Uncalled for? Definitely
Rated winner because he was a hero.
"My son made his mother cry, but saved hundreds of mothers from crying for their children," Mujahid Ali, Aitzaz's father is quoted as saying.
Truly a real life hero.
