Is there any fucking way to get rid of this.
I've been playing games fine but this problem reared its ugly head when I 'tried' to play Battlefield Heroes.
That's when everything went down the shitter.
Now I can't play the games that worked just fine before.
I can launch games fine, it's when I actually play it for 10 seconds then it craps out on me.
Halp?
Reinstall the game, or restart your computer?
So you want me to reinstall every single game?
Because it's happening to everything.
Even in fucking Minecraft it fucks over.
I'm starting to think that my card is fried.
Download HWmonitor, post the video card temperature.
You could also try reinstalling the drivers.
RivaTuner tells me that my card is at 77°C, that's Celsius. That's not good right?
Also, already did reinstall my drivers. :C

I think 77 might be a bit high, but I am unsure of the standards.
This is one stubborn bitch, let me tell you. It has several causes, ranging from memory issues to gpu issues. My problem was my GFX was overheating, but 77 Celcius isn't too bad.
>:C
Now the only game I can play is SIMTOWER.

77C when idle is a bit high. Did you ever set your video card's fan speed up?
Whats your video card?
You'll probably get more help if you ask here.

But I'm stuck between repairing/replacing it or getting a whole new computer.
I guess I'll take my computer down to the store and have them help me out.
Don't waste your money at the store try the card in another computer, here this is copied from my previous post on a similar thread:
This "nvlddmkm" error happened to me with my 8800 gts 320 mb. For me my temperature was fine, drivers weren't an issue, and I would get artifacts occasionally. Unfortunately, I had to RMA my dead graphics card because artifacts started to appear in bios! Check your graphics card company on what type of warranty you have because I was lucky enough to have an EVGA lifetime warranty.
This link should help you: http://www.nvlddmkm.com/
That is the error you had and its specific toward Nvidia cards. ATI cards have a similar error called "atikmdag"
EA Make shitty games, that's the problem.
I tried to play battlefield 1942, vietnam, battlefield 2, and 2142, and EVERY FUCKING TIME, IT CRASHED UPON STARTUP!!!
FUCK YOU, EA, I SPENT LIKE, 70$ OVER THE YEARS ON YOUR GAMES, AND THIS IS THE THANKS I GET?!?!?!?
I'm still puzzled as to how Battlefield Heroes, of all games, managed to cock up my computer.
God damn it EA.
I used to have it, it went away when I upgraded to Windows 7. I think for me, it was a bit of an issue with Vista. If you don't have money to spend on a new card, you could try upgrading to Widnows 7 while it's still free.

So, what's so good about Windows 7.
Apart from quite possibly mending this problem I have.
Tell me what you mean by "crapping out" on you. Like a system freeze when you play any game that forces you to manually turn off your computer to regain stability?
For instance, when I play Company of Heroes.
It will load fine, the menu and all. But when I start the game itself, it's fine for 10 seconds.
Then the artefacting starts and gradually worsens. Eventually, the nvlddmkm will fail to respond and I crash to desktop.
Sometimes I get the blue screen of death.

Your card is at the very best overheating, and at the very worst failing.
Okay guys this is weird.
My graphics card is now idling at 80 degrees Celsius.
When I open Minecraft, the temperature shoots up rapidly. It peaked at 88 degrees Celsius then I decided to quickly close it.
Why is it overheating from something as simple as Minecraft?
Help?
1. Rollback drivers
OR
2. Update drivers
OR
3. Dust out
OR
4. Your GPU may be dieing, also, check if your fans run on 100% when getting these temps.
Turns out it's totally and utterly fried.
The transistor thingies on the card itself have seemed to have 'exploded'.
Problem solved, now running on a 7600GT as a temporary fix.
