Aerial footage finds smoking-gun evidence of Russian army involvement in the conflict. More war is inevitable.
Dnipro-1, one of Ukraine’s many pro-government volunteer regiments, today released a video compiling drone footage of a Russian military camp just south of the village of Sontsevo in the Donetsk region.
Two drone flights were made over the same area, two weeks apart. Over that time, the camp grew from a small collection of tents and engineering vehicles into a fully-fledged forward operating base (FOB), complete with tanks, communications equipment, personnel quarters and even new roads.

A Ukrainian group that backs the government in Kiev on Tuesday published video captured by drone aircraft and said it shows a Russian military encampment in eastern Ukraine, bolstering claims that Moscow has expanded its military actions there.
The video was posted on YouTube by Dnipro-1, a volunteer defense force, and highlighted on the Daily Beast. It includes English subtitles, and claims the encampment is in the village of Solncevo, in Ukraine’s Donetsk region. That’s found here:

^Was able to find more information behind this, for example a VK album with photos from this area^
And as an added kicker, Russian Neo-Nazi's are in the camp. And not just shit heads wearing Neo-Nazi insignia.

I feel like whenever I post about this any more, like I'm looking into the god damn Twilight Zone. Is this fucking conflict real or have I had a stroke and this is all just delirium?
so theres neo-nazis on both sides wow
let em kill each other
[editline]1st July 2015[/editline]
or better yet end the killing before it drags in the rest of the world even more
so theres neo-nazis on both sides wow

I'd prefer no because it's not doing anything except breed more of their ilk through distrust and unneeded hate.
im just wondering where this conflict is heading with the amount of concrete evidence of russian military involvement
or better yet end the killing before it drags in the rest of the world even more
That would mean reigning in these groups, on both sides, though I doubt it.

The Russian neo Nazis are the ones who started this conflict, as of yet "Ukrainian Neo Nazis" are primarily just Russian propaganda.
The Russian neo Nazis are the ones who started this conflict, as of yet "Ukrainian Neo Nazis" are primarily just Russian propaganda.
In all fairness, one battalion, the "Azov Battalion" was formed before the conflict from a White Supremacist organization. Now it's a part of the Ukrainian National Guard. All I can say is I hope it's racist ideology is gone, but when it's symbolism bears striking resemblance to the symbolism of Russian Neo-Nazism, yeah there is something really, really wrong here.
The Russian neo Nazis are the ones who started this conflict, as of yet "Ukrainian Neo Nazis" are primarily just Russian propaganda.
thats entirely incorrect
[editline]1st July 2015[/editline]
the ukrainian national guard was the first to field units with members that are neo-nazis, mostly under azov battalion

You know, I can't help but find the report somehow....strange.
You wanna why? Well, because it claims the info was compiled via air intel.
Now, don't get me wrong. I strongly believe that Russians being involved in this is a fact, but there's also this fact that makes this strange: Russians totally own the electronic warfare in Ukraine. So how come they've jamming the best stuff the UKR gov can get into the air but somehow this battalion managed to pull off not only one UAV scouting them, but two!
Anyway, hope the rebels get blown to smithereens.
at this point in the war neo-nazis don't have nearly as much influence as they used to in units like azov though

and to say russian "neo-nazis" started the war is such a falsehood i don't even know where to start
[editline]1st July 2015[/editline]
and if you think ukrainian neo-nazis are something thats just russian propaganda, well i'd like to inform you that you're eating up a lot of propaganda coming from the opposite side
[editline]1st July 2015[/editline]
you have to realize that both sides in this war are full of shit and equally responsible for this catastrophe thats still going on
and to say russian "neo-nazis" started the war is such a falsehood i don't even know where to start

Well, there actually might have been...
I mean, not that Neo-Nazi's started the war, but participated in the start of it.
ok thats one guy but show me an entire unit with a make up and leadership of neo-nazis running around at the start of the conflict
so theres neo-nazis on both sides wow

Yeah, let's end it. Only lets kill the Russian neo-Nazis and separatists, restore the Ukraine's borders and its sovereignty, and start helping them rebuild and rearm and retraining to ensure this doesn't happen again.
The whole reason why this "Ukrainian neo-Nazi" presence erupted as it did in the first place is precisely because of the Russian shadow invasion and annexation of the Crimea and their continued efforts to steal the eastern border part of the country. And it's honestly a good thing; their country is under attack and is at war. Nationalism brings the exact kind of unity and spirit that they need right now under these circumstances, and it is a natural reaction for a people when they and their land are attacked.
im going to go ahead and shut up because theres a serious group think mentality going on in these ukraine war threads and its clear everyone on here has made up their minds on how they feel and what they want to hear about this conflict
[editline]1st July 2015[/editline]
and the moment you try to question what "facepunch" has decided as truth and factual (regardless of how true and factual it is) you'll be cast out, dumbed, and laughed at

It's cool bro.
Tbf there are probably Neo Nazis in the US army too.
The political/social affiliation of individual soldiers is not necessarily a reflection of the overall fighting force
Tbf there are probably Neo Nazis in the US army too.

The thing that pops out to me is how open the Russian neo-nazis can be about their alignment. In the US military, I believe that there is a large degree of resistance, both from officers and non-officers, against publicly displaying your affiliation to a group like the neo-nazis, and that official reaction is a reflection of a fighting force.
I like how people in this thread completly forgot about or are ignorant of the "Freedom party" of ukraine that was named somthing else that was a bit more truthful up until they decided to rename themselves, those dudes where neo nazis and have existed for quite a while. There are nazis on both sides which makes the fact that nazis fight for moscow a moot point. Plus too i really dont think I personally need neo-nazis to help convince me or anyone else that russia is more so in the wrong in this war than the Ukraine. Anywho, Im personally more interested in the tanks and things the kremlin will say they lost or something.
The men on the ground could really care less about your opinion on neo-nazi's when they're fighting a threat to their entire nation.
Because i totally did not just say that i thought mentioning nazis was moot aka pointless, aka i dont care.
In all but official announcement East Ukraine has been annexed by Russia. Anybody with common sense knows this. They are just defending their newly conquered territory.
Because i totally did not just say that i thought mentioning nazis was moot aka pointless, aka i dont care.
My mistake, I misread that you thought the involvement of neo-nazis meant both nations were equally in the wrong.
I like how people in this thread completly forgot about or are ignorant of the "Freedom party" of ukraine that was named somthing else that was a bit more truthful up until they decided to rename themselves, those dudes where neo nazis and have existed for quite a while. You mean the Social-National Party of Ukraine, which then became Svoboda.
In the late October 2014 Ukrainian parliamentary election the party won constituency 6 seats; the party came 0,29% short to overcome the 5% threshold to win seats on the nationwide list
And then similar vessels of thought like the Social-National Assembly and Patriot Ukraine joined together to form Right Sector, which in the last election received only one parliament seat opposed to Svoboda's six.
I mean sure, Nazi's on both sides are a given, but people give the Ukrainian Neo-Nazi's more power of opinion because that is basically the only side of it shown. All I'm trying to show is the same imagery, the same hate, the same ignorance, is on both sides, like the guy I posted about sported the black sun symbol on his sleeve and on his gun, the same symbol in the background of Azov Battalion's logo.
I never understood Russia neo-Nazis. The Nazis invaded your country and killed millions of your people. Now you want to be just like them?
I never understood Russia neo-Nazis. The Nazis invaded your country and killed millions of your people. Now you want to be just like them?
Well it's kind of the same "the fuck is wrong with you" with any kind of skin head, white supremacist, or all in general fascist.
I never understood Russia neo-Nazis. The Nazis invaded your country and killed millions of your people. Now you want to be just like them?
No, they're national socialists, they don't usually call themselves nazis (which itself is a shortening of German nationalsozialismus), but they might use similar fascist imagery.
A lot of them call themselves neo-soviets.
