Edited:
Having the camber fixed next week, hopefully.
You also desperately need to fix your lack of tire tread, holy fuck.
i've aquaplaned going around a tight-ish corner at 30mph with tyres that actually have tread, you're fucked if it rains

going to die
So, Wednesday I have a trial thing for driving lessons. Neato. After that, might check if I will get driving lessons. It'll be €30 every lesson so it should be alright.
30€ every lesson ? The average price here is like 45€

Why are you taking tight-ish turns at 30? Holy smokes.
I've found a Porsche 944, model of '86. Becomes tax free as of next year due to veteran status. Recently checked and passed all tests. Price is 5,300 dollars.
Yes/No?
Also, first car I'll get. I posted last thread about wanting a Fiat Coupe but this just... Seems better. v:v:v

it was dark with poor road lighting, really underestimated the corner

Well, a fiat breaks down more than a porsche so at least you got that going for you.
On the other hand, you have a gutless 150 hp I4.

I'm pretty sure this is the happiest we've seen mr. regular.
30€ every lesson ? The average price here is like 45€
Usually between €40-60 here but there was some sort of thing, so hey why not
Where is op photo
You also desperately need to fix your lack of tire tread, holy fuck.
I didn't mention that I changed the tires :v: That explains the dumbs.
Nah, it's still pretty dumb to let it get to that level at all, unless you purposely burnt them down there before you were getting new ones.

I was burning them down at the parking lot I got stopped at so I thought I was gonna lose my license.
[editline]20th April 2015[/editline]
Which was a pretty dumb thing to do.

Not having lived through the 80's, this video just makes it sound like mr regular is wearing nostalgia goggles as big as his face. It sounds like this car is even more wrapped up in symbolism than the Mustang that he nattered on about in his Mustang video. And if it's got the exact same drivetrain as a T-Type, why is it so much better? Hell, I'd rather have a T-type and not deal with all the hype and nostalgia this thing gets.

It looks cooler than a T-Type

because the t-type looked like a stereotypical grandpa buick. No one wants to buy a sports car that looks like grandpa's old buick. Same reason gmc gave the typhoon and syclone bodykits. If they were regular sonomas and jimmies, no one would have bought them.
[editline]20th April 2015[/editline]
also, just because he's wearing nostalgia goggles doesn't mean he's wrong. The car is incredible, and was a breath of fresh air too our stagnant, lazy car selection in the 80's. It can even hold it's own against modern sports cars while totally stock, with a ~5 second 0-60 and ~15 second quarter mile. Put a more aggressive tune on it and you can get even better.

If you're talking about the 944 it's a 163HP 2.5L turbo engine, which might not be much compared to newer cars but then again this is an 80s Porsche.
[editline]20th April 2015[/editline]
I also know very little about the internal workings of an engine, so most of what I know is 99% picked up from Top Gear. And Hammond liked the 944, so, y'know. v:v:v

Take ANYTHING from top gear with a grain of salt. Don't get me wrong, it's a great show, but it's more for entertainment than a review of cars.
Also, wikipedia said the 86 only came with an NA 2.5

If you do buy a porsche, invest in a nice set of tools. they didn't get their high-maintenance stigma for no reason.
[editline]20th April 2015[/editline]
If your's IS turbo (doubtful, they're rare) then prepare for even MORE maintenance.
Apparently the stock 68 roadrunner with the 383 does a 5 second 0-60. That's really fucking fast
You also desperately need to fix your lack of tire tread, holy fuck.
That's not that bad, just definitely time to look for new tires. I have proper camber settings and a normal alignment on my Integra and due to that I drive the shit out of it none of my tires even looked anywhere near as cleanly worn as that. I've never had it out of alignment for more than 10 miles.
You people think rain is this big scary thing, it used to rain half the year here and as long as you keep the limits of your vehicle in mind and drive smart knowing how your vehicle will react in a corner if the balance is upset or simply staying within your ability rain is nothing different than a lower traction surface. Rain isn't what you have to worry about at all, it's the greasy/moist conditions when you don't think it's that slick or it's the first rain in months that you absolutely have to be worried about.
I've gone through 4 sets of tires in my Integra in 50k miles, if I tossed out tires because part of the tread was at the "legal limit"/"wear line" I would have gone through 5-6 sets of tires by now. :v:
If I get hired on at the company I'm doing a placement for, I might actually be able to afford a car payment on something fun, like a Fiesta ST or something. Though it's going to be pretty hard to justify when my Cavalier is only at ~167 000 kilometers (103 768 miles).

For a '68, yeah. 5 seconds nowadays isn't that impressive.
You guys really disagree? Any light V6 can do this.
It's plenty fast today and anyways it's impressive as hell for a 2 ton slab of steel and patriotism :v:

Fiesta ST? With that money you can get a GTO dude.

Well it's definetly not good :v: The bump at the smudge mark is the legal limit, so when that point is flush you'll get a hefty fine.
