A man in a Santa Claus suit has robbed a post office in Melbourne's north, escaping with cash in a red sack.
The man entered the post office in Oak Park about 11:30am and demanded money from a female staff member, police said.
The woman gave the man cash and he put it in a red Santa sack.
He left the shop and drove away in a cream-coloured Jeep with false number plates.
Police said the man did not appear to have a weapon and no-one was hurt.
Even if he was unarmed it's best that she just complied. Most likely she assumed that he had a weapon anyway.

It is not their job to engage criminals and potentially risk their health and life. Especially not in a post office. Security is usually hired for that exact reason.

When working in her role you're supposed to do what you're told and hand over the cash. This is better than the risk of you or others getting injured or killed because you decided to say no. You don't fuck around in these situations.
