This is a very well done mod, Tried the alpha (took me a few hours of configuring it since it was all in russian, the installer and all) but when you get it working it feels really good to play, once all "elements" of crysis is gone (aka some hud things) it'll feel like a new stalker game.
Suddenly, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2
Uh, doesn't this need the STALKER devs/IP holders approval to go commercial?
It's not commercial...
"CryZone is not a "modification for the game Crysis". From now is a complete, self-Indie-game on engine CryEngine 3." That sounds like it would be.
"CryZone is not a "modification for the game Crysis". From now is a complete, self-Indie-game on engine CryEngine 3." That sounds like it would be.
That doesn't even hint at it being a commercial game.
Not all indie or games using that engine need to be purchased. Take Alien Swarm for example. It uses it's own Source engine, how about Warface that's using the CryEngine? It's free as well.

IIRC, licensing costs of CryEngine3 are around $500'000. I doubt pretty unknown Russian mod team has that much money, so they are most likely going to publish this non-commercially.
