im using an xfinity router and im trying to port foward. Problem is i keep getting a "Failure! Please check your inputs" error when im clearly doing everything correctly. I tried entering my local ip's and public ip's in the menu, but no matter what i entered i always got the same error whether or not it was correct. Im sure im doing this right. Whats wrong with my router?
Without knowing model numbers on equipment we can't really help you. Future reference. Comcast equipment is garbage. Don't lease the modem from them, buy your own higher quality ones that give you full control. It will cost you less money after 1 year. Motorollla surfboard, and a router to go with it.
Yeah I kept getting this with their Arris TG whatever it is You need to use your own router and contact support and have them put the all in one into bridge mode and port forward with your own router that way. You can try doing it your self but some people say that the bridge mode you can toggle isn't the real thing.
