• Computer shut off randomly (again) and now it won't boot

Well I'm back, exactly a week later. So I installed the Seasonic S12II 620 to replace the crappy Xion that blew. And well, I just hit the same problem again. It randomly shut off earlier and then came back on on its own. After a little bit, it shut off again. Again, nothing was hot or anything. I booted it up again and right as I got Chrome open, it powered down again. No warnings, nothing. Just shut down. I got it up a couple more times but before I could do anything, it shut down again. I read up more on my laptop here and someone said to try booting and staying in the BIOS menu to see if it was an OS problem and now it will not boot at all. No lights, no fans, nothing. Specs again: Motherboard: MSI X58 Pro-E PSU: Seasonic S12II 620 CPU: Intel i7-950 GPU: nVidia GTX 460 Palit Edition 6 GBs of RAM
I don't know what the problem could be, but as a last resort you should try to reattach all the cables and components.
Sounds lke a bad PSU as the system doesn't even turn on? Do you have any other around to test?
Have you already tried to disconnect ALL the power leads coming off the PSU and connecting them all over again? Maybe your motherboard power connector is loose, or your power button is broken, you might want to try to short the pins of the power button header together and see if it starts. Well I jump started the power supply using a paper clip and it kicked on with everything on the system working. So the things I've been reading have said that if it starts up, it's the motherboard that's failed.

Try to jump start the MOTHERBOARD.
