I've tried linux mint for a while, and i would like to start moving away from debian. I like it, but I want to try some red hat! I'm aware of ubuntu, mint, debian ect ect but I draw a blank when it comes to red-hat distros (Other than fedora) Help facepunch? Specs: Pentium M 1.7 GHZ 1 Gig RAM GMA 900
CentOS [editline]12:43AM[/editline] Also try openSUSE. It's actually kinda good.
Are GNOME and KDE compatible with red-hat distros? (If there is a better name, please tell me)
Yes
And other than package managment, is there a large diffrence debtween the two? (debian+redhat)
pretty much the only other difference you'll find between distros is init methods, and iirc both debian and redhat use a sysv-style init.
Does Debian come with SELinux by default? Red Hat does.
it comes with it, but you have to enable it post-installation.
