It's kinda like Call of Duty 4's Chinatown where they changed the visuals and such http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Chinatown
Wasteland from MW2 is also a remake of a Call of Duty 2 map.
Wasteland from MW2 is also a remake of a Call of Duty 2 map.
I played the shit out of CoD2 and I never knew that.
and the CoD2 map is based on a CoD1 mission. I don't know where I'm going with this.
And Hazard from Black Ops is based off of Castle from World at War
Well....their color palette grew, that's for sure :v:
I wonder if the Soda Truck will now be Mountain Dew.
I actually really like Nuketown. It gives me that "cp_orange_x3" feel where it's a map where I can do anything I want. It's pretty much the only map I played in Black Ops.
I wonder how the pre-order only maps work, Like...do you only get to play with other people that pre-ordered on the map? Can other people play on it if they're in a party with someone that pre-ordered?

That pretty much made it impossible to play without having to constantly find a new game unless you bought the maps. If this map is actually only going to be for people who pre-order it's going to be a fun time for those that don't.
Even though Nuketown was a bad map, I'd say its one of most famous (or infamous). Fucking disgusting business model they're going with though. I'd say that it would only hurt them because they're splitting up players, but they have so many players anyway, so what the fuck is stopping them? On the bright side, all of my friends have actually gotten sick of the series. I'd say that half as many pre-ordered MW3 compared to Black-Ops, and no-one is pre-ordering Black-Ops 2.
It's kinda like Call of Duty 4's Chinatown where they changed the visuals and such, but this is still largely 60s with that cheesy futuristic flavor. http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Chinatown
looks much more 50s to me
Wasteland from MW2 is also a remake of a Call of Duty 2 map.
Which was a remake of a Call of Duty 1 map.
The thing I never liked about Nuketown is that it was incredibly overplayed and it always ended up being a campfest due to how small the map was and how few spawn points there were.
This game is getting better and better looking with each new video. I'm still not going to buy it right away though, since there is no way in hell that I am paying $60 for a game. That is unless it is open world, because then I know I will get my money's worth. The last game that I payed the full $60 for was Batman Arkham City which was well worth it and before that it was Red Dead Redemption, also well worth it.
Nuketown is a great map but when a lot of the Black Ops servers are 24/7 NUKETOWN it gets VERY repetitive. This is why I'm glad they're using matchmaking on the dedicated servers like DOTA2 does. It also lets them do skill based games too. IW likes to keep it rusty and brown, but with a little green.
Cool, saw a shitload of reused animations from previous CoD games.

When did graphics honestly matter in games? Some people have more fun in Dwarf Fortress than they do Crysis. [editline]1st November 2012[/editline] Graphics =/= Fun

[editline]1st November 2012[/editline] Graphics =/= Fun
Agreed, but I sort of agree with him on one part The same 6 death animations used in the last 4 games. The animations are fine and all, its that most of the animations have the player fall down flat, then ragdoll, making it a bit jarring when a player is killed near a ledge and is left hovering over a gap for a second or two. Sort of the opposite to TF2's death animations, where the animation ends mid fall, so if there's any walls or gaps, the ragdoll falls a lot smoother. Plus one of the animations makes the player flip backwards onto their back and knees themselves in the face with both legs. Other than all that, I don't mind the game at all, played quite a bit, it's actually quite fun.
I do find it a tad annoying that there are still so many clipping problems in third person.
I'm considering buying the digital deluxe upgrade. It includes a free (giftable) copy of World at War, and it's the same price as World at War on steam. A friend of mine wants World at War on steam so if i buy this and gift him the copy of WaW it's basically like buying him the game and getting the digital deluxe shit for free myself.

I loved Search and Destroy in CoD4 but when I played Black Ops I hated how most S&D servers were 24/7 Nuketown or Hardcore. S&D on Nuketown was just TDM with one life.
wait, did I see blood sprays? I don't remember Black ops 1/mw2/3 having any blood at all in the multiplayer
Barely related, but I like what Activision has done with its logo.
Barely related, but I like what Activision has done with its logo.
Insult the original Activision?
And Hazard from Black Ops is based off of Castle from World at War
Actually, it was based off Cliffside. But holy shit, how did I never notice that. Though if there's a map I want to see back, it's Upheaval, absolutely loved that map.
