American millionaire Robert Durst has been charged with murder after being recorded in a hotel bathroom saying: [sp]“What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course.”[/sp]
The 71-year-old, who could now face the death penalty if found guilty, was filming an HBO documentary on his life called The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst when he made the comment seemingly without realising his microphone was still on during a toilet break.
Mr Durst, whose influential family own New York landmarks including One World Trade Center, was arrested by FBI agents on Saturday as he walked into a hotel he had booked under a false name in New Orleans.
His chilling statement aired during the final minutes of the HBO series on Sunday and yesterday, Mr Durst was formally charged the first-degree murder of Susan Berman.
If you haven't, I highly recommend watching the whole thing(almost 6 hours)
[editline]18th March 2015[/editline]
Little background: His wife disappeared in 1982 and he was suspected of it but never found guilt. Then moved to Texas and ended up killing his neighbor and dismembering him then throwing the bags in a lake. Now he is being investigated for the execution of Susan Berman, one of his friends.
Woah woah woaah, is it saying that he released the full documentary publicly with a recording of him admitting to murder?

He thought at the time he was saying it that the mics were turned off.
that sound mixer should get a massive reward for "forgetting" to turn the lav off before letting talent use the bathroom
Hope he rots in jail for the rest of his life, his possessions quartered and given to charity with only a good amount given to his children if he has any.
Calls to mind a scene from one of the great films of our time, starting at 1:20

it was HBO and he was off behind the cameras ranting in the bathroom and it was loud enough to be picked up by the mikes
that was partly the reason the FBI re-opened the investigation but it wasn't like the only reason
This is an interesting story but I can't imagine it going anywhere.
Wealthy eccentric rambles in bathroom. Won't change anything, unless he's kept a bloody murder weapon around for 15 years. Apparently he's been moved to a mental ward now.

You should check your right ear mate. :v:

not really, he was wearing a wireless lav
sound mixers are supposed to either cut their feed or turn off the transmitter when talent goes to the bathroom (politeness, you don't want to have someone urinating piped directly into your ears)
this one forgot to do one or both
I think he's innocent
