I'm planning to build a gaming PC later this year or by November. I got my parts picked out, but now I need to choose a monitor. Is there a difference in video memory usage between a 1440p monitor and a 1080p monitor? And which would you recommend? I have an old 1440x900p HP monitor from my old PC.
do you mean 1920x1080 vs 2560x1440 ? there shouldn't be a problem for everything except games unless you have a high-end video card.
I'm actually talking about 1440x900 resolution and the 1080p resolution on a typical monitor screen.
