I'm thinking about selling my computer and I want to view what the buyer can ever access. I don't want to take out the hard drive for it possibly drop in value and I need as much money as I can get out of it. Is there any way that I can access the history and stuff from the windows registry? Or delete it completely off my hard drive?
If you're worried about it, you should format the drive and write over it with a program like this: http://www.killdisk.com/ If you want you can reinstall windows afterward.
The thing is my C drive has my operating system on it so I can't really format it can I? Like is there any way to view old files and deleted folders. I heard that even if you delete it and run every program to get it off your computer, you can still access them.

The thing is I just sent it in for repair and the bitches took my vista installation disk

Because the PC still had warranty left, and they did not charge from the upgrade I i bought the parts from them.
Fucking wow. Ripped you off twice in one go.
The components were cheap, they did the job in 15 min and the service was good. After all, those old parts would be only lying around but still they should not do that :/
