Can someone identify this spider? Shit quality picture inside

I've killed plenty of common house spiders before but this was something I have not come across. I took a picture of it and then swiftly killed it. I don't think they were fangs, but it had two very prominent protrusions coming from its head, which you can't really see in the picture. Sorry for shit quality but I didn't want to get super close to it when taking the picture.

Spiders make me incredibly paranoid and now I'm constantly holding myself and my eyes are darting around the room.

Also can we just make this a general "How to deal with spiders" thread? The warmer weather is here and I'll be seeing way more of these things and I'd like to know how to properly prevent them from entering my no-spider-zone.
Also what kinds of spiders can be smushed and which ones should be left alone etc etc
thank fucking god I live in sweden
the best of luck to you though, I'd give advice if I knew anything
All spiders can be smushed but you should generally leave any spider alone if you can! Theya re just trying to help, and are terrified of you so they'd rather run away and hide than pester you.
[QUOTE=Samwiseganja420;50392777]You can still get big house spiders.[/QUOTE]
Yeah but living in a pretty fresh second floor apartment helps a lot too
Wolf spiders, the hairy ones with the long mini-legs near their mandibles, can get to be quite large but are entirely harmless. Don't know what yours is so be careful handling it.
The usual way to do it is to get a cup and a piece of paper. Slide the paper underneath the spider, get it to crawl on it, and put the cup over the top. You can easily release it outside
what're you expecting anyone to tell you off a blurry-ass pic like that lol. I mean yeah that's definitely a spider alright.
the protrusions you saw were probably just their little tiny front leg things, the pedipalps.

you big BABY
exterminate all spiders
I could have said it was the chilean tiger spider but then remember it only exists in south america :v:

I usually leave spiders alone unless its a black widow.

My rules to kill are as follows.
1. On me. Though usually it's a brush off and not a kill.
2. In my immediate vicinity when I'm about to go to sleep.
3. Indoors and it's way too big to have any business being there.
[editline]25th May 2016[/editline]
4. A recluse.
Looks like a Jumping Spider.

Completely harmless.
my spider rules are kill on sight unless its a tiger spider

you mean a jumping spider. what else would use a raindrop...as a hat. (the spider in the op is probably not a jumping spider)

you're a dog not a spider
I refuse to kill spiders anymore, gotta honor Spiderbro.

The way its legs are positioned make me want to say its some kind of huntsman spider, and given the size and your flagdog location, is harmless to you.
[editline]26th May 2016[/editline]
Literally, the only reason you would need to worry about a spider in America is if it's a brown recluse or a black widow, which are both penny sized and generally non-aggressive.

are you saying he can't be both
