USB Ports giving out too much power when plugged in.

I need your help FP, because I'm Pretty fucked.
I have this lagitech micrhophone that is absolutely fine but whenever I use it when the power adaptor is plugged in there is always this loud obnoxious hum recorded.
I took it to PCWorld tech support and a computer repair shop who's manager I am friends with, they both said that it was because too much power was going through the usb port when the power cable was in.
I need to know if there is any way to reduce the amount of power going through the usb ports when plugged in, to when it is not plugged in.
I will do anything for you if someone can fix this.
It's annoying to have to unplug my laptop everytime I want to talk in tf2.
edit No, fuck you, you are dumb you piece of shit.
Ffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu-
Are you sure its not just background noise, and those "tech support" guys weren't just bullshitting you to get you of their backs? Most mics record the background noise, either set the sensitivity lower and try again or deal with it.
Try plugging the mic into another computer and if it still hums then you've got background noise, not extra power. :3

Ok thanks, for being heplful.
I'm sure it's not background noise because it dissapears as soon as I remove the my laptop's charger.
I've also tried 2 similair mics from lagitech and the same thing happened.
(doing a wild guess here on this v:v:v) It's normal, most power bricks don't do a perfect conversion from 120/240V AC to 12-19V DC so it causes noise/interference in recording devices hooked up to the laptop. (OR the bricks have poor EM shielding) On battery it's straight DC so less interference in recording devices. There's nothing you can do short of recording while only on battery or turning down the sensitivity on the mic.
I think this has to do with your power itself, you have something in your house fucking up the power. (Yes I have done this before, doesn't necessarily fuck it up but many things will have a hum noise.) To test this just go to another place and plug in your charger.
