Well, now there's another option for the well-heeled gadget lover. Stuart Hughes is back with another custom gadget for the economic elites called the iPad 2 Gold History Edition. It's got a solid gold backside, an Apple logo and home button crafted from a total of 65 flawless diamonds, plus a bezel crafted from Ammolite rock and slivers of thigh bone from a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Between all that ice and prehistoric bling, there won't be a problem picking this iPad out of a lineup. What is a problem (for most of us, anyway) is the price: eight million dollars. We dig the dino look and all, but that's an awfully hefty entrance fee -- we'd rather buy a stock slate and take a few dozen trips to the final frontier instead. Talking about stupidly expensive makeover. Why?
This is possibly the shittiest thing you would use a dinosaurs thigh bone for.
I think it look ugly.Gold ipads are much nicer
And this is one of the reasons why capitalism sucks. Anyone with enough money can buy anything. Those dinosaur bones could have gone to good use - but nope, fuck it, let's waste 'em on NOTHING.
What exactly do you use dinosaur bones for other than exhibitions?
Iuno. Research? Certainly not an iPad, that's for sure.
Iuno. Research? Certainly not an iPad, that's for sure.
I don't think we're going to be seeing a dinosaur bone shortage crisis
I don't think we're going to be seeing a dinosaur bone shortage crisis
Funny thing, we kinda' are in one now.
So instead of using the bones to replicate a dinosaur master race or making them our pets, we use them to make Ipad covers?.........what the fuck is wrong with the world!
plus a bezel crafted from Ammolite rock and slivers of thigh bone from a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
That belongs in a museum!
Oh wow thats cheap compared to the standard model.
Not only a waste of bones, its also a waste of money (the Ipad itself with nothing)
I never thought they'd put diamonds on a turd
He's probably going to throw out that when they bring out the iPad 3 next year. Waste.
What the hell, it's overpriced as it is
What the hell, it's overpriced as it is
you know it would cost more than $14,000 per device to manufacture the ipad in the US using your labour
Gold plated shit is still shit.
It doesn't even look good. Such a waste.
stupid STUPID STUPID
People in other countries hunger for food, and this idiot makes a 8 million dollar ipad.. Fair? i think not.
People in other countries hunger for food, and this idiot makes a 8 million dollar ipad.. Fair? i think not.
Because he runs a successful business in a developed country its his fault others live in poverty.
you know it would cost more than $14,000 per device to manufacture the ipad in the US using your labour
I'm guessing you meant american labour, and even then, no it wouldn't
This is possibly the shittiest thing you would use a dinosaurs thigh bone for.
Then again, the dinosaur probably used it to actually shit, so...
I'll buy five.
I can see Paris Hilton walking around with one of those and it just wastes valuable stuff you could use for something less conspicuously retarded. Like selling Claymores as Jurassic Park merchandise made out of T-Rex bones and Velociraptor teeth. I know I'd totally buy one of those!
Because he runs a successful business in a developed country its his fault others live in poverty.
The point is that he could single handedly save literally thousands of lives, but chose to use his "successful business profits" on a retarded flashy gadget just cause he can.
Why not a bronze back plate, it would match the bezel perfectly.
That Ammolite rock cover actually does look pretty horrible.
I never thought they'd put diamonds on a turd
olooool ipad suckx apple=gayyyyyyyyyyyy What's so wrong about an iPad? Just because Samsung or whatever company makes a tablet that's somewhat cheaper and or/performing somewhat better, doesn't immediately make the iPad bad. People are just bandwagoning for the sake of bandwagoning right now
