Dog and owner sent to hospital after cat attacks seven pitbulls
The seven pit bulls were out for their regular walk in Victoria, British Columbia, simply minding their own business, in the words of their walker.
“The dogs were walking by, completely minding their own business,” she said. “The cat just goes at all of the dogs, not backing down.”
The encounter left Ms Grover in the emergency room, suffering from "nasty" feline bites. Belinda the pit bull also received medical attention following the incident due to heavy scratches to her face.
“The vet hospital thought it was a raccoon that attacked her,” Grover said. “She’s on antibiotics.”
Mr Thompson and his wife are paying the $222 veterinarian bill for the dog whose face was injured.

Still, his wife Betty Jean maintains that she warned the group of dog walkers of her cat's presence. “There is no ambush about it,” she told The Sun. “Somebody is blowing this all up.”
Your cat attacked and injured a woman and her dogs lol, how can she possibly try to spin this with a warning?
the cat in question

7 pitbulls. unbelievable.
Unless the dogs were on her property, a warning doesn't really matter..
A pet attacking another pet still leaves the owner liable if the dogs and their owner were just passing by.
Poor pups. Hopefully that lady will keep her cat indoors a little more often.
Why wasn't the cat on a leash?

Who the hell leashes a cat?
As for the article cats are fucking scary. I grew up in a house of 5 cats and an 80 pound black lab mix. The cats scared the shit out of the dog.

Theres a law in a small town in Maine that says you have to walk your cat on a leash.
Who the hell leashes a cat?
the joke is that's always the question in a dog attack since there's usually strict laws about owners keeping dogs on leashes to keep them in reasonable control. To be honest I never really understood the 'dog is naturally mean to cats and cats are afraid' stereotype, the mean dogs are usually mean to any animal and 90% of cats will wreck up a dog's shit if it instigates something
Those must have been some well trained pitbulls
Those must have been some well trained pitbulls
cats do have razor blades on their hands
Those must have been some well trained pitbulls
All you need to have a well behaved pit bull is to not train them to be aggressive attack dogs.
the thing is those dogs were in that cats territory and made it feel very threatened
live with 4 cats and you figure out theyre just mini tigers and can be viciously territorial

leashing cats doesnt work, they tend to choke themselves
Cats can fuck shit up if they want to.

I knew cats were pretty dumb that's a whole new level. They have these harnesses too that cats can't commit suicide with.

Damn that must have been one fucking savage cat.
Cats can fuck shit up but they're smart so they just pick on things weaker than them.
A single cat attacking 7 pitbulls what the actual fuck

Also, you gotta train them from an early age. Otherwise, they will get the damn thing off, then they'll do the impossible so you can never put them on a leash again.
At least mine do, and they're pretty docile most of the time.

This is why I laugh when people say "dogs will rip cats to shreds". Cats are the true masterrace imo
Cats are cunts. Those pitbulls must've been very well trained if they didn't fight back.
Yes they had to have been. My cat Smokey decided to attack my upstairs neighbor's pitbull for no reason besides she has never liked dogs,it's the reason the same neighbor gave her to me because she was beating up her little dogs as a kitten. Poor Bubbles just backed up,whined and tried to get away. I really expected Smokey to be in little bitty pieces but no. She attacked the poor dog and the dog was better trained than to attack back. I felt awful about it and I don't see how the woman who owns the cat who did this doesn't.
TBH I think it would be better to confiscate the cat or destroy it, if this person raises cats that do shit like this they have no fucking business continuing to own one.
:scream:
I remember one of my aunt's cats being a scary fucker if you messed with him, I was afraid of him when I was younger because of this one time I accidentally provoked him to scratch me and when he sat on the stairs I used to be afraid of going up or down. Eventually we got along but he was still very particular, when he'd had enough of being fussed he'd swipe you and hiss. Once when I leaned back too far on the sofa he was sat on top of I startled him and he managed to scratch my eyelid.
But yeah, long story short - don't mess with cats.

If this was an article about a pitbull wounding a pack of innocent little kitties you know you wouldn't be so concerned about the "destruction"
My dwarf rabbit kicked an English bulldog knock out with its hind legs. dog just out of nowhere ran at my rabbit during walkies and i couldn't react in time.
Still see it reacting to the dog running right at it, turning around and then facekicking him so hard both the dog and the rabbit flew in opposite directions. rabbit running over to my legs hiding behind and dog being KO on the pavement for at least a full 30 seconds...
By the time the owner arrived the dog was already getting up, i should have told him to keep his dog on a leash for his own safety but besides some worried/ashamed apologizing we didn't even look each other in the eye.
Someone got an extra carrot and hug that night.

No he would blame the owners just like any other sensible person. Was there a point to this post?

I still would be, animals hurting animals just sorta happens and I don't think it requires any action beyond paying for vet bills and whatnot.
However, when animals attack people it's different.
Dogs can do a lot more nasty shit to people than cats can. Cats at most leave scratches and bite marks, bigger dogs can take whole chunks out of your body.
Those were some well-trained Pibbles. Yadda yadda fantastic dogs if not mistreated and all, if i was attacked by something like that, i'd fight back no matter what. Props on them and their owners and i hope they're doin' alright.
This is why my cat's outdoors time is always supervised and on a leash or in a fenced in area. Cats don't care how capable an animal is of destroying them. This could have ended very bad for the cat, owners who let their cats roam just strike me as irresponsible.
Cat's owners are lucky the vet bill is only 200 dollars.
