More than 10 kangaroos literally hopped onto the course at Royal Canberra Golf Club in Canberra, about 180 miles south of Sydney, interrupting play in a bewildering spectacle that could only happen “down under.” American golfer Lexi Thompson had just completed her round on the ninth hole, when “about a dozen roos” entered the fairway and made themselves right at home, according to the Canberra Times. Photographers were on hand to capture the incredible sight. Play was halted until the crew of friendly marsupials fled. Are they sure it wasn't Remi Galliard?
So that is where they went! It was such a pain getting to College over the past few days, as all my kangaroos went missing.
first, aussies lost the emu war will they win against the kangaroo menace!??
its that time of the season where only the true masters will be able to catch a roo and ride it
Easy solution. Shoot them, then serve them as food at the Open. Two birds with one stone
Photographers were on hand to capture the incredible sight.
Hardly incredible. This is a pretty normal occurrence in Australia
If you went bare fists against an adult kangaroo you would get the shit beaten out of you They don't fuck around. Just look how alpha they are
Because culling animals is totally effective. :sarcasm:
Well, it is. It's a pretty common occurrence in Australia
Invade Australia? Too late now, they've already landed.
Well, it is. It's a pretty common occurrence in Australia
Culling animals has proven massively ineffective as another animal will just move into its place, the best way to go about it is with professional, humane deterrence.
Funny you say that, because last time I checked, it's a government approved practice to control kangaroo populations, that every farmer here will tell you works
If it works then why is it still a problem? Animal culling is inhumane regardless.
If it works then why is it still a problem? Animal culling is inhumane regardless.
Yes, because applying a control measure once then forgetting about it works. Care to prove it's inhumane? You know, in most countries it's a crime to cull animals in a non-humane way, and the Australian Government makes it very clear how it must be done
Maybe perhaps because you're killing an animal for a reason which isn't food/survival related for the sake of "hurr because the world should suit me more"
Pretty much every kangaroo culled these days ends up on a dinner table, so it is for food. You're also a hypocrite, unless you're living in a cabin in the woods, only eating veggies grown out of your own little veggie patch, every action you take is a "hurr because the world should suit me more" action. Grow up, that's how it works. This isn't a attempt to cull them into extinction, this is us correcting the explosion in kangaroo population numbers that have exploded ever since we came to this country, putting a dam in every paddock giving kangaroos and unlimited water supply and breed like rabbits [editline]16th February 2013[/editline] I'll bet some money you're a Vegan or a Vegetarian

I mentioned in my post "for food/survival purposes"
Leave it to Facepunch to make a thread about a kangaroo army invading Australia boring Great work guys
i wish i was there with a rifle
I remember walking around at night after a significant part of bushland was cut down, I decided to take a shortcut and got off the street, after walking for a few minutes I heard a noise, so I got my phone out to use the light to see, and there were a bunch (5 or 6) massive kangaroos sitting around looking at me.
