Hello Fpers! I am in Computing science in College. We are currently doing a teamwork about a game we have to make, it's a game about countries and Geographical shits (Eh...)
Well, we are 2 beginner programmers, but none of us knows how to actually draw, so we need someone to make a Character for us!
We asked the teacher and she said it was an awesome idea, since that's just like hiring someone to help us.
The best character will be taken. We won't take the most cutest, but the one that fit our need the most. We WILL include the name of the person in the game, and this game will be on our college website for 1 year. From june 2011 to june 2012.
Our needs :
- It need to be ''Politicaly correct'', the game is to be given to 9 to 11 year old childrens.
- We'll need to add ''Accessories'' just like shoes, hats and things like that.
-Size : About 200*150px +/- 10%.
Thanks a lot to the people helping us!
Someone draw zombie Obama with one hand claw, one hand tentacle, and his lower half of his body a tank.
Bonus points for reference.
You need to give us a lot more information on this buddy.
Male/Female character?
What do you mean with it having to be politically correct? You can just say "It needs to be safe for work and not racist" instead, if that's what you mean.
What accesoaries needs to be drawn?
What style are you after?
What pose do you want it to be in?
Should it be just one picture of the character or should it be a few poses?
Instead of just saying "uh hi we need character thanks" you have to give us something to work with, it's incredibly frustrating when you (the client) can't for the life of them give us the information necessary to start drawing.
How far are you in the programming?
Exactly what do you want drawn?
How intricate do you want it to be coloured? Just simple one colour for each part? One main one shadow? One main, one shadow and one highlight?
We're half way in the game. We do not need an EXACT type of character, and that's the beauty of the thing.
Well, if you need some more info, let's see what i can do !
Male or female? Well, you can do what you prefer, but it'd be be better if it'd be a male, since the accessories are more boy-like.
There's no ''Style'' needed, it's open.
As for the poses, we we only need the face one.
The accessories will be things like : Flags (Canada, China and Mexico) that can be held with a pole.
CAD accessories : Canadian Typical hat, boots, canadian checkered shirt.
China : Getta shoes, Chinese hat, Kung fu suit.
Mexico : Sombrero, sandals and a Puncho.
For the colors, it is as you want it, there's no limitation, but it'S better to keep it a bit simple. It's made in Flash and coded with AS3.
If you need anything else, just ask!
So you're going to stereotype the shit out of it all, but want a politically correct character?
I hope I'm not the only one seeing the irony in this one.

Well, it's something we've been asked to do. We gotta make children discover places around the world by putting Stereotypes, that's what the college wants us to do, and they are our Clients... :ohdear:

Kids love simple characters with relatively simple game play, something their minds can toy with and play at school.
