I need a good practice amp for my guitar, as the crappy 5 watt one I have now simpy wont cut it any more. I can spend up to $150, but would prefer to, if possible, spend less. I've been looking at THIS one., but was wondering if there are any other, better options. I love how it has all sorts of effects which I would probably use regularly. So what do you think?
Music section also Roland Cube.
Do you want a tube or solid state
Do you want a tube or solid state
He's not going to get a tube for under 150$
This should be in the music section. If you're only spending $150, you're not going to be able to get a real quality amp. Also it depends on what type of music you play. I have a line 6 which I bought about 4 years ago. It has a variety of sounds and effects, but the sound quality starts getting worse when you crank it up too loud. What type of guitar do you own?
Do you want a tube or solid state
Perferably, Tube. But aren't they really expensive?
This should be in the music section.
Perferably, Tube. But aren't they really expensive?
Yeah, Sorry. Maybe a 15 watt line 6 spider. I got one for 100 dollars and its good for practice.
ROLAND CUBE. The spider III 15w SUCKS DICK.
ROLAND CUBE. The spider III 15w SUCKS DICK.
Yea, I've been thinking about the cube too, I was at my friends house and i messed around with that and i liked it.
ROLAND CUBE. The spider III 15w SUCKS DICK.
It's a spider 5. Also thats why I said good for practice
So what do you think?
Your an idiot, the music thread is down there Buy a Peavey Vypir 15 V
I have a CRATE GT15R. Simple, but pretty decent.
I was lucky, my first amp was a Vox Valvetronix 30 watt, its got some nice fx and a great tone
There's a music section that will help you a lot more. [editline]07:18PM[/editline] Roland Cube is good, My school has them. [editline]07:20PM[/editline] http://www.facepunch.com/forumdisplay.php?f=262
The Roland Cube, they sound incredible for the 80 euros I've paid for mine.
Peavey Bandit 112. Try to find the First version they sound alot better then the Second one. Should be around 100$ Second hand.
Music Section? But; Roland Cube Or Peavey Vypyr
I like my Roland Cube 20X.
Peavy Vypyr, or a roland cube. There really isn't much else worth what you're spending at that price.
I say go for the Peavey Vypyr, excellent quality for its price, I have the 15w version myself.
i got roland micro cube and epiphone explorer so i'm gonna say cube too
I got a Marshall MGFX15 for 200 Euro..
I got a Marshall MGFX15 for 200 Euro..
Don't buy that one it's crap. It's either a Cube or a Vypyr.
My school has a bunch of Rolands, they're pretty fucking awesome. Sometimes they get a better sound than my Line 6 Spider IV 75 watt...
Vox Pathfinder 15-g
The Roland Cube, they sound incredible for the 80 euros I've paid for mine.
Hmmm not many stores near me have the Cube. And I don't like BUYING online. ALSO: Kitteh-Nator's Avatar wins the thread.
Get a Crate. Can't really go wrong there.
Sound quality > Watts it's not like anyone needs anything over 15W. some big performance is a whole another thing
There are quite a lot, but as for me I got a cheap Fender amp, works like a charm and produces the sexiest sound for my riffs with the BOSS-ME70 effects pedal.
Line 6 Spider III. It's a pretty good amp. Or go old school and get a Peavy Pacer :v:
