Instead, they tried and failed to heal their son with home remedies in March 2012.

The couple is claiming that they are being unjustly persecuted, with a recent social media post from David Stephan dramatically lamenting “Will we ever be free?” before asking his followers for money. They are pleading not guilty on all charges. The Stephans own and operate a famously fraudulent nutritional supplement company called Truehope, which has been sued by Health Canada for peddling dangerous supplements.
This really should be a prison sentence of the highest order. This death was so preventable it isn't even sad, it's just disappointing and maddening
I hope they go to prison for criminally negligent manslaughter. Or maybe something worse because you really should know that maple syrup doesn't treat meningitis.
The couple is claiming that they are being unjustly persecuted, with a recent social media post from David Stephan dramatically lamenting “Will we ever be free?” before asking his followers for money
just in case they couldn't drive home the 'anti-vaxx' persona hard enough
Even if they thought vaccines had a chance to give their child something, you'd think they'd chose letting him live instead of letting him die.
why the fuck are they asking for money on facebook; in that huge post it's like they don't even acknowledge that they had a part in what happened to their son. It's like they treat his death as a vehicle to get donations, what the fuck. There are like 5 paragraphs of words in that facebook post and they don't even touch upon their sons death in it. What despicable human beings
Convict them on premeditated murder. This is fucking vile.
Even if they thought vaccines had a chance to give their child something, you'd think they'd chose letting him live instead of letting him die.
Autism is worse than death, don't you know? (No, seriously, that seems to be the thought antivaxx parents have in their heads.)
I hope they go to prison for criminally negligent manslaughter. Or maybe something worse because you really should know that maple syrup doesn't treat meningitis.
this isn't even manslaughter this is, and should be treated as, straight up murder
Are Darwinism awards only given to those you die in the process? Feel like these two subjects fit together This is insane
Are Darwinism awards only given to those you die in the process? Feel like these two subjects fit together This is insane
Darwin awards are handed out to people who remove themselves from the gene pool through their own stupidity. While this sort of counts from the tragic and preventable death of their son, mom and dad were presumably not sterilized from the shock of their son dying. Unless dad castrates himself by accident after this, they're ineligible because they can still make more (please no, you two idiots) and the story indicates they have other kids already. How sociopathic of them, though. Craven enough to beg as if they're the victims.
“Will we ever be free?” before asking his followers for money

The Stephans own and operate a famously fraudulent nutritional supplement company called Truehope, which has been sued by Health Canada for peddling dangerous supplements.
Anti-vaxx, pulls the "I'm the victim" card, basically begs for money, supplies dangerous products to other people. Sorry but these people don't belong within society, they are a danger to anyone who is around them or listens to them, as proven by the death of the kid. Seriously who treats Meningitis with fucking Maple Syrup, you've got to be delusional.
Maybe they didn't pray hard enough
Congratulations; you killed your child while also perpetuating a cultural stereotype. You sure showed those doctors good, you frauds.
no pity for the parents
Canadians.... (User was banned for this post ("Shitpost...(still)" - Craptasket))
Canadians....
there are people like this in the US as well
David Stephan dramatically lamenting “Will we ever be free?” before asking his followers for money.

The Stephans own and operate a famously fraudulent nutritional supplement company called Truehope, which has been sued by Health Canada for peddling dangerous supplements.
Why aren't these fuckers forcefully shut down?
I think this is their website http://www.truehope.com
Why aren't these fuckers forcefully shut down?
Here's hoping this is enough for a judge to drop the hammer and kill their shit dead. I feel bad for their surviving kids, the most. The state wants to quite rightfully take custody from the parents...which means these kids are going to lose access to their own mother and father. As shitty and dangerous as antivaxx is, these poor kids are still going to be separated from the ones they love. Hopefully they're able to live with Grandma and she's not crazy, or something. I wouldn't leave them in a home where they might die because dad decides to treat their pneumonia with kosher salt and dill instead of taking them to a hospital, but...fuck this is such a mess.
I've always said that antivaxxers should be charged with felony child neglect
their website claims that their products can help cure stuff like autism, yet they (were probably forced to) have a disclaimer, which says something like "The FDA hasn't verified anything we say here" fucking assholes
How much more proof do you need that anti-vaxxers are full of shit? This shit needs to be punishable by law. This isn't a matter of religion, or personal belief, or even politics. It's a matter of fucking public health! By WILLINGLY not getting vaccinated, you raise the chances of not only yourself catching STUPIDLY preventable diseases, but also raise the chances for those who cannot vaccinate to catch said stupid preventable diseases. Many of these diseases probably would have been wiped out by now if not for this ASS BACKWARDS logic. Also like it needs to be said, do you really want your child to die instead of maybe (not really) living with Autism?

I hear that, and i feel sad that there isn´t any law to prevent this and many other cases from happening.Anti-vax parents are horrible, but there isn´t much we can do right now. And also i found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_hCLWtEHL8
I vote we drown the parents in a giant vat of maple syrup. Canada has those, right?
I vote we drown the parents in a giant vat of maple syrup. Canada has those, right?
Quebec has plenty, actually. I really hope people are made aware of this, it's awful that some parents still believe this kind of thing.
I vote we drown the parents in a giant vat of maple syrup. Canada has those, right?
Does anybody see the irony in this? And yes,i think they do.
I think this is their website http://www.truehope.com
"What if...Nutrition could treat mental illness?" Evidently it can't, looking at the folks running the site.
Also since nobody posted it yet, show this to the next person who says vaccines cause autism. http://howdovaccinescauseautism.com
