• Advice on these headphones needed

Alright so, I love music and listening to it. Recently I have been working and saving and stuff so I can get some noise cancelling headphones. My dad found a pair of the Beats by Dre for 250$ and we are planning on buying them, we tried them at Best Buy and preferred them over the Bose QC15 because the Dre's focused more on low end of music which is prevalent in the music we listen to. (Rock, and stuff related). So, my question is anyone here that has them/ has listened to them what do you think? (price is not related to the question).

They are running the same cuntworthy scam that Skullcandy is, ala' "Hai gaiz, lets put shinies and pop stars on them! People will see they use it so they will too!" Spend your money on a nice pair of BeyerDynamic DT770Ms. They are made for working with the low end of music, they are made for drummers to accurately listen to what they have just recorded. Whoa there guy above me. I demo'd these headphones in a store and they are brilliant, maybe not worth 250 dollars but they are by far the best headphones ive ever listened too. Better quality than the studio headphones the studio round the corner than me uses.
Then why the fuck ask facepunch if you've already got your mind set on them?
Yeah, I really wouldn't. Like Skullcandy, they're made for people who value fashion over audio fidelity. There are many better sets you could buy. I too recommend the Beyerdynamics suggested above, but if not, try Sennheiser, Shure, Sony. Personally I'm using Sennheiser HD650s, and they're highly recommended too. Just keep the fuck away from fashion brands - Skullcandy, Dre. If you're wanting low end frequency response, I'd take a look at the new Sony XB series. They've got models in 30, 40 and 50mm drivers, and the XB700 has a low end range of 4Hz, I think. You don't seem to know too much about audio fidelity, so before you buy them ask yourself honestly if you're just succumbing to the placebo of a brand name. Cheaper sets may suit your needs too. Plus, what were they linked up to in Best Buy? We don't have them in Scotland, I've got no idea. If it was connected to an iPod, then the test has gone to shit. Try them on an amplified source with a half-decent output if you want to test them.

rock is not mostly based around the low end

If a headphone brand also sells backpacks and other accessories, they're not legit. [editline]06:15PM[/editline] A couple fuckers at my school wear skullcandy backpacks
