• Shaky video playback for WMV files

So, I've had this problem for quite a while now. Basically, whenever I start playing a WMV file, the playback will be smooth and after a while the video will start having this shaky distortion effect. I have tried the following, based on what I've read on the Internet:

Uninstalled PowerDVD and VLC Player, as I don't really use them
Disabled 'Video Smoothing' in the Catalyst Control Center
Uninstalled ffdshow (64-bit) and the DivX Codec Pack
None of these appear to have resolved the issue, but may have delayed the time it takes for the shaky playback to start. I really don't know what's causing this issue, and it has been happening for months now. The videos that have the playback issues are always the WMV 720p videos from GameTrailers, such as this one: http://www.gametrailers.com/download/710064/t_crysis2_bew_0x114_hd.wmv and this one: http://www.gametrailers.com/download/707555/t_deusexhr_penetratepenthouse_gpt_hd.wmv
Has this happened with Windows Media player, powerDVD and VLC player?
Has this happened with Windows Media player, powerDVD and VLC player?
No, the issue is with WMV files and Windows Media Player only.
I've narrowed down the cause of the issue to be with GameTrailers' downloadable 720p WMV videos. I have tested WMV videos from other sources, and there are no issues with these videos. What is causing the GameTrailers' WMV files to play in this distorted manner?
