Transported back to the Triassic Period, what would a person experience upon encountering this agile, roughly 9-foot-long (about 3 meter-long), 5-foot-tall (about 1.5 meter-tall) beast with a long skull and blade-like teeth? “Abject terror,” said North Carolina State University paleontologist Lindsay Zanno, who led the research published in the journal Scientific Reports. “Climb up the nearest tree,” advised North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences paleontologist Vince Schneider. The creature is named Carnufex carolinensis, meaning “Carolina butcher,” for its menacing features. It was a very early member of the crocodile lineage and was unlike today’s beasts. It was not aquatic and not a quadruped, instead prowling on two legs in the warm equatorial region that North Carolina was at the time. It lived alongside armoured plant-eating reptiles known as aetosaurs, early mammal relatives and other fierce predators such as the large, long-snouted, water-dwelling, four-legged phytosaurs. Carnufex is one of the most primitive members of the broad category of reptiles called crocodylomorphs, encompassing the various forms of crocs that have appeared on Earth.
(User was banned for this post ("image macro" - Orkel))
Nope. Also that would be a seriously evil thing to put in jarasic park
seriously nature can you not
I'd like to have several as guard dogs. Trained to not notice my scent, but to viciously attack anything else that came by. Because only then could I be sure my petabytes of henati would be safe in my underground bunker during the coming Nuclear winter Obama will be ushering in upon this great American landscape. The above started weird and kept devolving... I am sane, I swear.
he just wanted a hug but he got a meteor instead
Lets see you catch that thing Steve Irwin...
Well him being dead is going to complicate things a bit, but I'm sure we can make it work.
Well him being dead is going to complicate things a bit, but I'm sure we can make it work.
Then you got the crocodile being extinct and it's all starting to sound like it's not happening.
he just wanted a hug but he got a meteor instead
You do realize these went extinct before said meteor hit?
You do realize these went extinct before said meteor hit?
sorry fun police
Lets see you catch that thing Steve Irwin...
He's wrestling it in the afterlife.
is it even a meme reply when it's in the OP though? you're not even replying to anything.
its more so the fact that meme images indicate low quality posts

Scary, Steve Irwin would catch that, and stick his finger up its bum. On second note there has been so many uncalled for bans for the littlest shit.

This would've made the Everglades interesting.
Aw damn. It's on the wrong side of the country, else it could've been named the Miami Mutilator.
I'm scared to walk outside now, knowing this thing probably roamed my backyard.
This would've made the Everglades interesting.
Nah, this thing was basically a proto dinosaur, loved sprinting around and shit, less water more fuck thing up T-Rex style.
I knew the government was lying to us about reptilians
That posture is really weird. It doesn't feel like it could keep that stance while staying still. [editline]21st March 2015[/editline]
Nah, this thing was basically a proto dinosaur, loved sprinting around and shit, less water more fuck thing up T-Rex style.
It's not a direct relative of dinosaurs so it's not really a proto dinosaur.
Damn that creature looks scary.
This was never needed more than it is in this thread.
