i'm trying to come up with a map layout for a project of mine for a futuristic cyberpunk-ish city, but my mind keeps drawing blanks on what buildings that absolutely need to be included, and on how it should all be laid out. are there any programs that generate such things/ideas in general that anyone can provide?
There's plenty of dungeon/board generators you can find around, donjon website has a lot.you could use one of those as a base then fill in the rest yourself
Well it depends on how cyberpunk you actually want it to be? Light cyberpunk "kinda like today but in the futuUUure and it's shittier" or heavy cyberpunk "Everything is different but still shittier"? For the first option, just think what you would find in a normal urban settings and adapt it. Hospitals, universities, business buildings such as offices, tribunals, prisons, restaurants (high profile ones in the less shitty part of the town), slums, ghettos, factories, prisons, abandoned factories, and since it's cyberpunk, a good ole' Corporation HQ or two.
