I know most of you guys won't agree with me on this, but I think it looks quite boring. Sure, it features a cool movement system like Mirrors Edge and lots of customization on the weapons, but the core gameplay - shooting that is, looks boring.

I guess it would look better on the PC
I'll be honest, it looks like a multiplayer bulletstorm to me.

This is impossible to compare. Bulletstorm was the "I am stuck in a dick-joke factory" game. This is free running mixed with FPS and RPG elements.

Opinions
I think brink looks really good, i've been looking forward to it for a while now.
Opinions
So? He can still argue that your opinion is stupid.
The animations... They're not horrendous, but they look so stiff. Like tweening in Flash movies or something. It's especially noticable with meleeing
But that would be a waste of time. He's not going to change his opinion just because some whiny people get butthurt about it.
Why did you bother arguing with me? I'm not going to change my opinion because some whiny person got butthurt about it.
I don't see any resemblance to Bulletstorm whatsoever. Bulletstorm had narrow, tube like levels where you progressed through in a linear fashion. It had no tactical enemies, they only rushed at you. A big part of it was melee, and combinations of melee with your leash. The story is not similar in the least, the characters aren't either. The presentation is different, and the premise of the gameplay is too.
The way you overcome your enemies is different, and the things you have to do to progress aren't similar really.
There were no classes or teamplay in Bulletstorm, it had no customization that changes how you play the game and you weren't able to jump.
You couldn't interact with the environment in order to change how the game continues and the tone of the game was humorous and focused on killing people in spectacular ways. It had no leveling mechanic or possibilities to modify how the character plays (body types).
The only similarity I see is that you use guns to solve your problems. (Kill your enemies). That is the most basic thing pretty much every shooter has in common. I might as well say this looks like a multiplayer "Blood" or a multiplayer "Doom 1". Opinions
Gotta agree. It looks really generic. Nothing really reaches out and grabs my attention.
Nothing that grabs your attention?
Not the parkour? Not the focus on teamwork? The customization? The artstyle? Nothing?
I can't wait to play it.
I would agree that some of the animations look a bit odd, but I still think it's going to be a good game.
Looks dull, probably just because they're trying to show all the stuff off.
I wonder if this is going to be another 5-hour-fuckfest or a game actually worth the money
This better not be gay
If you can kill everyone incapacitated on the ground, that sounds like a real miserable job for the medic.
Full mag to kill someone incapacitated? Erm..
Animations look awful. Eh.. can deal.
AI is dumber than bricks, game focuses on MP anyway.
No headshots for any kind of weapon? Uh...
Knife does more damage then weapons. What?
Parkour looks decent.
Says it's focused for teamwork, but in reality it will be one person working and the rest worrying about killing and ranking up for more weapons and unlocks.
Actually a lot of previews said the AI is pretty good.

Did you actually read up on the game or are you just making assumptions? You get more out of doing objectives and you can choose which you do freely and it all helps the teams progress.
I have to say I used to be hyped up for this game but after the latest amount of videos coming out I'm no longer interested. I'll be content with Section 8 Prejudice instead, way cheaper and looks to be more my thing.
It doesn't actually look that great to me. Once the novelty of the Mirror's Edge style movement wears off, I don't think it'll seem much more than a TF2/ME/CoD blend.

No, I'm making assumptions. Because that's what every god damn team based game turns into.
Even though Team Fortress 2 isn't really near the teamwork based that this game supposes it possess, I'll make a reference;
Can basically traverse the map as any class. Kill shit, win the round. I really don't see why anyone would bother either than progressing further in the game to do objectives for themselves to kill more people to get more unlocks or EXP.
You can bro-op, sure. If you randomly join a server, it's going to be filled with idiots that try to do objectives on their own, die, complain about the team being shit, then leave.

I agree with you.
I wonder if this is going to be another 5-hour-fuckfest or a game actually worth the money
It's already confirmed it'll take at least 10 hours to complete both parts of the campaign, not to mention after that you probably haven't reached level 20 yet, gotten all the cool clothing and weapon attachments. Plus you can make up to ten characters.
No matter what, this game is going to keep you busy for as long as you want if you let it.
I needed to decide between L.A. Noire and Brink pre-order, I chose Noire, because Brink has so much potential there's a chance it can't live up to it. But I shall take a look at it after the release.
The animations... They're not horrendous, but they look so stiff. Like tweening in Flash movies or something. It's especially noticable with meleeing
Agreed so fucking much.
It becomes so obvious that you are playing a game it hurts. Too many animations that does not blend well in with movements and environments as well as blend well between one animation to another is just pure crap and leaves the game better off without them.
Quake looks much better than this.
This game looks very boring but entertaining at the same time. I'll probably get it at a sale sometime if people are still playing it by then.
I've only seen gameplay on the 360 and it looks quite good in that department so I'm sure it's nothing short of stunning on the PC, we will just have to wait for release.
Can't wait, not long now.
The parkour is neat, but not enough to get me to drop $50+ on it. Many games say they are teamwork oriented but they never are. I don't give a rats ass about customization. I think that type of artstyle is hideous.
If you don't care about any of that, perhaps the game isn't for you, no.
It's definitely a game for me, though :v:
