What is the best creepypasta you know of?
Preferably video game- related, but any type is fine.
Need some reading materials for my lonely nights...

not really "creepypasta" but has some spooky shit and some fun stuff

My favorite is NES Gozilla creepypasta, it gets really cheesy in the end but I still admire the amount of effort that went into pictures and sprites.

Also I know you asked for creepy stuff, but a lot of the joke ones are really great. I'll paste an entire example because it's short:
Item #: SCP-____-J
Object Class: _______
Special Containment Procedures: In a box in my office.
Description: It's a rock that makes you procrastinate.
Addendum: Probably memetic or something.
I'll finish writing this up later.- Dr. Vang
My favorite is that one where these Nazis test japanese children and caretaker to try and find the death switch and see if they can achieve immortality, but they turn out really creepy and flee after WWII. I forgot the name of it though.
EDIT: Found it. It's Kagome Kagome.
Not video game related at all, but Ted's Caving Page is one of my favorites.
Ben Drowned is pretty creepy. Really well done as well.
I'm gonna have to say suicidemouse.avi. It had some decent effort put into it - both the video and the "story" behind it.

For me, it'd have to be a toss-up between PenPals and Borrasca. Don't get me wrong, I love a good paranormal monster story, but something about PenPals and Borrasca really stuck with me. Hell, I ended up doing a fucking "dissertation" on why they resonated with me in the Generally Just Fucking Creepy megathread a couple of months back, which in the end boils down to their respect for pacing, making us invested in the characters while the mystery and dread steadily builds with each instalment. That way, by the end you're not merely scared yourself, but scared for the characters you've come to know and love, a sort of "empathic horror" if you will.
And in a way, those stories almost transcend creepypasta itself.

A few ones packed in Mr. Nocturne's lovely voice.

SCP 701 definitely has a creepypasta tone to it. Probably my all time favorite SCP.

Holy shit, I just went to check it and it's at 701 upvotes

A lot of effort was put into this, but it's a good example of everything wrong with the stories of debatable quality calling themselves creepypastas now IMO. I wish the term still referred to creepy stories just realistic enough to be believed (which is sort of what it starts out as), but just abnormal enough to be interesting, copypasted around the internet, sort of like electronic campfire stories, and not "I WAS PLAY GAME AND THEN A SKELLINGTON COME ON THE SCREEN AND SAY 'i kill u' AND I DEAD!!!" (which is what it sadly turned into).
If you just want a creepy story, Guts is a pretty good one. Otherwise, for the more 'creepypasta' styled stories, I can attest to Ted's Caving Page.

You can't go wrong with the Dogscape.

My favorite trope is "I almost killed myself while playing this but I was really curious and had to continue"
Borrasca
Just read the first part which was okay, but the second part just made me lose interest quickly due to a rapid drop in quality. Can someone tl;dr the rest of it?
scp-093 has to be one of my favorites. It would make an amazing movie if someone wanted to.

That and the authors feeling intense emotions for 8 bit characters being hurt in a video game. Even if it's haunted, come on.
this is my favey-gravy

I read this one a couple years back and thought it was pretty good.

Possibly my favourite: https://thejosefkstories.com/2008/11/16/collision/
unit 731 and pokemon was one hell of a ride. to the point i had to ask someone from japan about the whole thing.
"1999" filled me with odd kind sense of dread :ohno:
