inb4 "any movie after the first is crap" bandwagon
Well, i haven't seen the third one, and i dont remember the second one good too, but the first is a great one yeah.
Fucking loved the first one. The third one was just epic, not sure of the second one...but I believe it was a tension builder leading up to the 3rd one so all is forgiven.
I really liked Reloaded, I don't get the hate for it. The third one, yeah I can understand that.
Fantastic scene/script-writing.
first was great second was... meh and the last was watchable.
Anyone who hasn't seen this movie should go see it. It's one of the classics you have to see, no matter what.
The second two were no way as good as the first, but they were still really great movies.
I remember the scene where he puts the shrimp in his belly button. :ohdear:
I remember the scene where he puts the shrimp in his belly button. :ohdear:
When I saw this I put my hand in my mouth to stop it.
The first one was relying on the revelations and surprises, which made it so "Holy shit!". The second one had the right idea: drop the first ones style and go for the action, I say this not because I think action is better than plot, but because I know that if they had gone the same route as the first one it just wouldn't have worked (it would be stretching it out too much and would start getting repetitive). At least this way we got an awesome movie (the first one) and an awesome action movie (the second and third). The third one was the second best in my opinion, the ending gave me the feeling that someone watched too much DragonBall, but it was awesome nonetheless. They are all great, only that the first one is a different genre.
Its a great movie, but have you guys seen the movie which inspired it (this one is truly a mind fuck with and amazing story!)
worst ending to a trilogy ever. "Will we see Neo again?" "I expect so" what the fuck is that?!?
worst ending to a trilogy ever. "Will we see Neo again?" "I expect so" what the fuck is that?!?
I agree. :argh:
worst ending to a trilogy ever. "Will we see Neo again?" "I expect so" what the fuck is that?!?
That means there might be (or better, probably will be) a sequel.
inb4 "any movie after the first is crap" bandwagon
No the second two films are just poor compared to the first. It's not a bandwagon if there is a damn good reason for the shared opinion. I disliked the second two films before I was even on any forums of any type.

They're pretty confusing, but that's the beauty of it. it's really innovative and smart.
They are planning on making a 4th one but Reeves said he wouldn't do it. They are searching for another actor to do it right now.
Good, what the fuck can it be about?
urgh so there's gonna be some shit about a "glitch in the matrix" so his appearance changes? I called it first
urgh so there's gonna be some shit about a "glitch in the matrix" so his appearance changes? I called it first
oh god damn no
I enjoy all three films, the first one especially. A fourth film would completely butcher the series.
The first one was epic, after that it was just "meh" but i enjoyed them all.
Isn't there peace between men and machines now? Why would a 4th be needed? Unless Smith returns.
Its a great movie, but have you guys seen the movie which inspired it (this one is truly a mind fuck with and amazing story!)
Actually The Matrix was heavily influenced the the anime Ghost in a Shell. The team behind The Matrix have said time and time again that without Ghost in a Shell the movie would have been different or not existed. Although similarities have been attributed between Dark City and The Matrix.
Animatrix was the best out of all of them solely because of The Second Renaissance.
First one is amazing, can't remember too much about the second but I'm sure I've seen it. The last one was okay but the ending confused me a bit. Did the machines say they'd release people from the matrix or what? I didn't really get it. I think what I don't like about the sequels is that there were thousands of people free of the Matrix fighting for freedom, whereas the original mentioned them, but it was still just a small set of characters doing their own thing. I guess I didn't really like the storylines either; I likes the idea of Agent Smith, but I didn't really like the stuff with the "Train Man" or whatever it was. I did like bits of it though, I can understand the hate for the sequels, but I don't think I do. I dislike them, but I don't hate them. I agree that the original is one of those must-see films if you haven't.
there is a theory that the people of Zion are actually still in the matrix, the machines just lead them to believe they are free.
3rd movie was star wars.
