Anyone know how to adjust the fan speed on my 9800GT, currently it sounds as if it's running at 90 or 100%.
I have tried:
eVGA Precision
Riva Tuner
Nvidia Control Panel
Speedfan
none of them seem to be able to adjust the speed, i would really like to turn it down as the sound is doing my head in lol.
PROTIP: Im not asking how to clean my case or how hot the case is, i am just asking how to turn fan speed down on a 9800GT.
Clean up your PC.
Use canned air.
nothing to do with my PC needing cleaned, unlike half of FP i actually keep the inside of my PC clean, that includes using dust filters on my fans and cleaning it out once every few weeks.
How hot is your GPU?
(Temps of the card?)
59 degrees idle
are you getting enough air into the case? What sort of case do you have?

CM690 and yes it's getting enough air into the case, it's not the ambient temperature im annoyed abouts, it's the fact that my 9800 fan speed won't change, even when i have had the GPU down to 20 degrees, the fan speed is still 100%

inno3D
Go to low level hardware control in rivatuner and hit fan, then hit manual fan speed, hit no.

Doesn't work, tried it already
resistors on the card are going it isn't a program thing.
what is your psu

Antec Truepower 550w, wasn't my ideal choice but i had to buy a PSU and quick when i was at i36 and my old one broke. It's a decent PSU though.

Also it can't be the resistors, this card isn't that old. And i don't recall this happening in vista, i think it's maybe a win7 thing.
