• Xbox Live Auto Sign-in Issue/Purhcasing game DLC without owning actual game

I'm going to use this thread to try sort out 2 issues. 1. My first issue is my Xbox 360 doesn't always sign into my Xbox Live profile which is set to automatically sign in. Sometimes it will sign in automatically and other times it won't. What I have done to try resolve the issue:

Disabled DHCP on Xbox and assigned an IP address manually in my router and on the console.
Manually entered DNS settings
Double-checked that automatic sign-in is enabled and is staying enabled
I'm using the latest firmware and the Xbox is connect to the network via ethernet(wired). 2. As I was browsing the Xbox Live marketplace I saw that Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare DLC was on sale for 50% until January 31st. On the 28th of January I purchased Red Dead Redemption on an online store and the estimated time of delivery is 4 - 12 working days. As there has only been 1 working day so far this unfortunately means the sale will end before I have the game. My question is: Will I be able to purchase the DLC and use it when my game arrives? Thanks in advance. [editline]30th January 2011[/editline] I should also mention that I have Googled both issues. The second question is sort of hard to word without being too specific and the first one I was unable to find a working solution
I'm not sure what the problem is for your first problem, but as for your second one. Yes, you can purchase the DLC for Red Dead Redemption and then when you get the game you can use it. Because it is a dlc for a disc based game, the game will search for it upon loading, so already having it purchased and downloaded will not ruin anything.

Bumping my thread in hopes of getting a solution with my first issue. I also have another question which may seem silly. When a purchase is made from the marketplace is the ownership tied to the account the purchase was made from or is it a one time download sort of thing where once it's deleted from the HDD it must be repurchased? I hope and assume that it's tied to the account(along with unlimited downloads of the content) but I am just asking to make sure so I don't do something stupid. My Xbox's HDD is only 10GB(I purchased my console way back when the marketplace wasn't too big and games couldn't be installed to the HDD) and once I am done with RDR I might delete the DLC to free up some space, that is of course providing I can download it again.
DLC and other marketplace items are tied to the account, so if your xbox crashes, or you purchase a new one and don't use a transfer cable to copy information over, you can go to your download history and re-download without the need of purchasing again.
