Building this for a friend. His current specs: (old custom build)

His case is this and currently has a water cooling setup, though we will likely be tearing that out since it's too old to be trusted and would need new blocks etc.
PSU is an Enermax ELT500AWT 500W, which could most likely be reused (probably still pushes 400W or so; 2x 22A 12V rails).
No peripherals are required, and his current monitor resolution is 1920x1200.
Will be used pretty much entirely for gaming.
He'll be wanting a new hard disk (and/or SSD) but will be keeping the existing disks for storage.
We live in Northern Ireland, so Aria is generally the cheapest retailer overall (though Scan could be considered if it is over £10 cheaper due to crazy shipping costs). If anything is individually cheaper on Amazon UK then that would be great since I have Prime.
Currently I've come up with this:

Are there any issues or improvements that could be made?
I couldn't find a review of the PSU with efficiency, and as far as I can see it has only got 80 plus. At the same time, efficincy has probably dropped a bit since you bought it, and therefore I don't know if yoou would want to run an overclocked system this expensive on it. I have close to no knowledge on this matter, though, so you might want to get a reply from someone actually know something about older PSUs.

Yeah I suppose so, guess that extra £60 could go towards a PSU then
I think your friend would be better of with a new PSU tbh. Could easily fit it into the budget - here's a build I just made, it should be perfect for him.

extra 70p there could get him an ssd
Would this be enough for overclocking (likely CPU only) and crossfire in the future?

That is one of the fucking worst builds I've ever fucking seen. But you made my day, and I'm laughing, so you're excused. Probably a joke anyway..

XFX is great, and you'll be able to run CF 6950 with an overclocked CPU no problem.

Why would you put a Celeron for god's sake?
gah everything here is bad.
I'm really hoping he's just hilarious
Probably is.
He has ordered the stuff in the OP along with the XFX 750w PSU
That was a pretty fastly resolved build, but well, it isn't bad, though he should've gotten the XFX 6950.

Meh, the DirectCU II cooler is really good and it's a longer warranty
XFX has a double lifetime warrenty?

Says 2 years on Aria :/

Nice job on the build

uh efficiency has nothing to do with how much a PSU can output, it's how much a PSU can output for every W of input

Where did I state otherwise?
